Pat Riley played for Adolph Rupp... Adolph Rupp was a practice tyrant.. I think its a matter of do unto others what has been done to you. Obviously that practice method worked for both of those coaches. Personally, I am of the mindset its not how many practices is you have, more what can you learn in the time you spend there. Before the season starts.. that's a different story, but after you are in the heart of the season two a days or extra long practices don't make sense. But I do think it depends on the group of players you are coaching as well.
Yes, the "I was McGrady in Europe" is the quote of the year #1. But this bbs is so on top of that stuff. This bbs doesn't miss a thing anymore. I just have a running posting deal where I try to do quotes that I like that might go unnoticed and just name the thread the same and increment the #. anyhoot, it's not meant as a ranking of quotes, merely just a consistent way for me to name the threads...somewhat for myself to find them later. to find the first quote, just look for Quote of the Year #1. I actually can't remember what it was...it was early in the season if not pre-season.
