Well, IF he is healthy enough to play and not being such a cry baby, there is no question this team will contend for the title...
You totally missed the point. Mcgreedy clearly stabbed Yao behind his back in his talk. " If he can play with Shaq..." clearly said this.
has anyone on his team been better than him during the playoffs? so in that fact, he's right. but he should shut his mouth though. you don't always say what you want to say tmac.
"Now, whether I accomplish that, I don't know,'' he said, his strong right leg swinging from the side of the trainer's table. "But I'm going to bust my ass trying to get there.'' Come on TSlack who your kidding?
This is the problem with McGrady he wants everyone else to do the work and him just be a part of the team that wins it all. He simply is backing his way out it seems to me just like he did in orlando and toronto. Get some cohones, seriously. He should try and take advantage of the situation he has in the current rockets team but he constantly tries to find negatives and just can not seem to get on the court. He is a cancer after all the crap he pulled this season.
Tmac has always been a guy with this mentality that everyone works for him and everything revolves around him. He is a 'me -first' player. I think if he were on the same team with candice parker, he could win a championship.
Yes, Yao clearly played better than Tmac in the latest playoff they played together (2006-2007). They have the same ppg (25) but Yao with higher % and more rpg.
T-mac is not himself. I'm not making excuses for his actions or statements but let's leave him alone, wish him well on his rehab and concentrate on what's important right now...the team! At this moment, whatever T-mac does or say has little influence on what the team on the floor is doing. Thankfully our legends are too classy to call out T-mac. I cannot never see Hakeem or Rudy T ripping T-mac. We are lucky to have legends like them.
a loser will always be a loser. Look at Karl Malone. He played with Shaq and Kobe, and Payton. And still no ring.
Had he tried his best when playing and had he not created all those drama which had been proved distracting the team, he wouldn't have been criticised. It seems that he is still ignorant of the true reasons (or he knows but he just tried to divert people's attention) why he was criticised. It's annoying to hear he says: "We're underachieving, and when you underachieve when the expectations are put so high up on you, you get criticized,'' McGrady said with a sly smile last month. "If it comes -- the criticism -- so what? I enjoy doing what I do. It's made me into a global icon. There's no way criticism is going to make me go hide in a closet and go boo and cry. There's just no way.'' Those kinds of statements only lead to more criticism. McGrady knows this. He says them anyway. And I can say to TMac: "I enjoy what the team is doing without you. It will make Rox an icon in the playoff this season." Also, I would like to send the following message to Rox players: "Thank you for your efforts. Keep it up and prove to your superstar that the team can at least pass the 1st round without him.
*courtesy of a lame Jazzhole fan* McGrady might not be a bad guy, but still in its context the quote is still bulletin board material for his OWN TEAM. Interesting its now McGrady being the guy playing with Shaq or Duncan. Or if he's in place of Paul Pierce. Shouldnt McGrady BE the Shaq or Ducan? As much as he's a primadonna and wants superstar treatment, thats just basically him admitting he's a very good sidekick instead of a true star player. McGrady could at least be Garnett good. Geez
Let me play in the team with Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, LBJ, Olajuwon, Carl Malone, Jason Kidd,...I will win the championship without get on the court.....I figure out I am a better player than TMac... If you are considered as a super-star....then you better prove you are...
t-backnee.................. its nothing new, i've been saying this crap for the past 2-3 years on this board.....y'all were in love with his fake a $ $.
