    Unemployment down

And the first President to have billions of dollars directed at fostering hate and obstruction. It's an industry all to itself.
Annnnnd a lot of it is about race.

If Obama was white and had an "R" next to his name instead if a "D" and made the exact same policy decisions I wonder how many posts dedicated to Obama bigtexxx would post in the D&D?

    Who cares?

Every time a two term president is in the last 2-3 years of their term out comes some poll or essay about how unpopular they are.... all of them from RR to BO......

No one is going to care or remember in 5-10 years.

We'll see how history ultimately views him. Right now, I'd say he has been a poor President, but he could certainly move up. A lot depends on how HCR performs over time.

Of course, rating Presidents is fairly pointless. They all face different circumstances.

ronald reagan the movie star? jajajaja (insert doc's laugh here)

no list with the guy who funded terrorism all across the americas should be taken seriously. I do understand that after four years popularity dies down even for the first president to ever fist bump.

I guarantee you his historical ranking will not be poor (poor = GWB, Andrew Johnson, Buchanan level).

It will be either average or slightly above average - it depends on how much the next president/Hillary is able to accomplish without any significant constitutional refrom/destruction of the Republican party dysfunctional/obstructionism binge. If she's able to get things passed in Congress, which I really don't see happening, but could be possible if she gets enough big $$$ support) then his standing will diminish.

If it's the same, then his standing will increase probably due to PPACA alone, barring any war or something for the next president that drastically impacts their rating.

OBAMACARE is a GOP written, health insurance lobbyist sponsored plan that was passed as a privatized alternative to a single payer plan.
Other than the technical issues of hiring 100 politically connected subcontractors it's working well to get more people, people who need it, insurance.

    next.

oh wait that's the only legislation we've passed in 6 years.

You know what, texxx...it's also a start. No one thought it would be perfect right out of the box. Just starting the process was damn near impossible, so getting the ball rolling is a major victory. Now if all the whiners and outrage monkeys would look to improve the bill and healthcare coverage instead of screaming at the top of their lungs like hyperbolic lunatics, perhaps we'd be at a better place.

As someone who got cancer young, I'd like to put out a big EFF YOU! to all the opponents of healthcare reform.

Well, yes there are questions about the statement above, just not in the minds of Fauxbots who seem unable to think for themselves and willing to let pundits do it for them.

Yes, likely because the GOP's main goal once Obama took office was to make him a one-term president by absolutely refusing to work with him in any way.

At least you can admit that the GOP legislators have been showing their racist tendencies in that they believe Obama is inferior to them.

I don't believe this to be true, but if it were, it seems deserved given the scorn and derision heaped on Obama by Republicans since his first inauguration.

The joke was certainly on him. Every time he reached across the aisle, he got punched in the face by the GOP.

No, Obama might have been defeated in the last election had the GOP been able to nominate someone reasonable, but instead, the only people up for the nomination were crazy (Perry), crazier (Bachmann), and batsh!t insane (Santorum). Romney would have been a pure welfare provider for his rich friends and Main Street would be much worse off today with him in the office.

I'm glad you can finally see that the mess we are in is the direct result of Fox viewers electing George W. Bush twice. That is progress.

Pining for the days when only land owning white men could vote? Ahh, those were the days.

You're correct. These days, they let a dishonest "news" outlet convince them that it would be a good thing to shut out anyone who doesn't pay one specific form of taxes (while paying many, may other forms of taxes). They actually believe completely debunked things like "tax cuts increase revenue," or that illegal immigrants are voting illegally in large numbers.

People like you (low information, irresponsible, anti-intellectual, anti-personal accountability), who have ceded their critical thinking in favor of letting pundits fill their head with misinformation and lies are the problem.

Stock markets didn't go down until the tail end of the Bush 43 era, and it was Bush appointees that made some very tough decisions to mitigate the immediate risk of a semi-permanent catastrophe. This is a bad metric by which to measure any president.

I couldn't care less about these poll results (skewed polls and stats are so old school now, since distorting actual facts has become so popular) but what amazes me is the determination to make sure he looks inept. Before it was about making him a 1 term president, but now it seems to be fear of any recognition whatsoever.... that or they're afraid he'll run again and win.

It's unhealthy, really. Some people should do something more constructive with their lives.

Fact check: this had a D+5 sample. Even KOS HIMSELF was good with the sample

Ah, well as long as we have a voucher, mr. nussbaum. I'm sure he is indeed the worst, and that this isn't some continuation of the barrage of pettiness intended to make things -seem- worse than they are. Seems legit.

You're not alone in having cancer -- so sit your ass back down son with your sympathy efforts.

When Obama had to take extraordinary and historical run-around efforts to ram this down congress' throat, he can't be a crybaby and assume he'll get the full support of the right...especially on such an abortion of a plan. Nancy Pelosi said that we have to pass this bill before we can find out what's in it. It's the height of partisan politics and it stinks.
