Looks like most of our player might get some vacation time, since our roster is deep, even for yao, except Rafer.

We need a backup C first. See if we can use Head to get a project-type C or a second rounder (where we'd pick up a project C). Then we need to solidify the PG spot, and I'm wondering if Ron+Rafer can get us Hinrich+expiring contract. I would absolutely do that and would love to have a Hinrich/Brooks combo at PG.

We need to look at the future. We can't lose Ron for nothing. We need T-Mac. Weneed help at backup C and to shore up the PG spot more than any other. These are facts.

It's true that Battier hasn't been great, but even if he struggles through this season, he will correct it by next season. In fact, I'm sure his post allstar break numbers will be much much better. Wafer and Barry can get him the rest he needs.

We wait till Ron and T-Mac are healthy, then we make decisions. But strengthening PG and C using our glut of swingmen is definitely the most logical scenario.

I reckon Barry will get his minutes. When Barry was signed Adelman spoke of playing him at PG in 4th quarters. If a coach is thinking that far ahead about a new player I think it's a good guess to say that player was handpicked or close to it.

Yes we are loaded at the wing right now. But the wing is also our most injury prone position. Tmac needs to show that he can bring more to the table then Wafer. If he cant let him continue his off season rehab.

January 26 through the trade deadline is going to be critical. How the team plays once all the pieces are in place will dictate who gets traded and who stays.

How healthy Battier truly is will determine if Ron is here after the deadline. With out battier we down have a strong wing defender if artest is gone.

I have to agree with this one. Keep Ron. In the playoffs, I am trusting
Ron much more than Shane on the best player of the other team. Right
now, I say reduce Tracy and Ron's minute and give 10-15 to Wafer/Barry.
Battier can get about 20-25 each game.

dude i agree, when ever he shoots a 3 i get a smile, whenever anyone else, even wafer, shoots a 3 i get sad. i hold my hand up in a 3, like jon and sura used to do, he makes it almost every time i do it. when rafer shoots sometimes i scream NOOOOOOO and it goes in...then i'm like what the f, that bs should never go in, he's such a lucky b*stard...i don't hate rafer, but this strategy has been working for me haha. ah my crazy antics

I agree. His numbers on both sides of the court are terrible this year and he is not getting any younger with 3 years remaining on his contract. This team has too many nice guys we need a bully like Ron on this roster.

I guess maybe by this thread people will now understand why the "shopping Ron" thread is being posted.

Plus we do have way too many swing players. When was the last time we could say we had too many of anything? :D

This could bring us some good talent. If not I'm content with what we have and know we will go deep into the playoffs with this roster.

We shoulda Traded Battier to Charlotte while we could, I know for a fact that LArry Brown wants Bat on their team, And We couldv'e got Ryan Hollins as a Backup to Yao and Ray Felton who they are actively trying to trade.
