I don't think it will be a coaching change, there have no quality replacement on the market right now.

I think it will be a trade.

If it is a coaching change, I hope it is Don. We need someone who can coach offense.

Let's trade Moochie and Wesley for someone half decent.

Let's keep our next #1 pick. It may be extremly valuable :(

I am losing hope for this season.

No, we just need a firebreathing player to light up the low key ones.....which is pretty much everyone else.

Agree, at this point we got nothing to lose, and that's why I thought at the beginning of the season that Spree would provide that, although he might have lost that fire last season in Minny.

Patterson is the ideal 'pitbull' you would want on your team, but he's been a distraction, although here in Houston he would probably get decent enough minutes to keep him content.

Still, unlikely either will be a Rocket.

    Sign Spree,

    New lineup
Rafer back starting at the 1,
    Head at the 2,
    Baxter at the 4

    Wesley to Portland for Patterson

if it's a trade it's too early to trade stro. that would have to be at least another 2 weeks.

alston just got back so it can't be him.

i think wesley is gone. he had complained before about his role, Doc said we are looking to trade him in a big way, and he has an ending contract.

We need a number of things. Whether we can address these all with one player or a couple of changes remains to be seen

    1) We need guys of fire. killers. People that are willing to get down and dirty and do the dirtywork. (and I am not necessarily saying dirty players here though). Sure it takes some luster off of our "great chemistry" team, but guess what? Right now the chemistry is off. It needs to be tweaked. So yeah, perhaps someone like Ruben Patterson is the type of guy we need. Maybe not him specifically, maybe so. We needs guys that have a "passion" for the game so high that they just dont give up, they keep fighting. Guys like Sam Cassell.

    2) Young legs. We still need more speed on the perimeter. Guys like Head. Guys that are flying all around the court. You can count on Head and Ryan Bowen right now, but that's about it. Imagine someone like Darius Miles harrassing perimeter players!

    3) 3rd scorer. Duncan has Ginobili and Parker. Tmac only has Yao. We need another scorer on this team to help carry the load on off nights and nights when one of our stars is either injured or off.

I think if we can address those 3 points this team can be turned around quickly.

P.S. We can think out of the box here. I dont think we have to always think "that guy isnt a good outside shooter, we shouldnt consider him." I dont think we have to ONLY look at great shooters. How about change it up a bit. Let's look for game changers on DEFENSE that will CREATE offense and give us fast break points that will lead to EASY transition hoops. We arent getting any of those right now. Everything is difficult in the half court set.
This team needs to start on the defensive end and fix that problem. Doing that will solve a lot of things. It will lead to better offense.

just speculation but the knicks just cut matt barnes who has been playing very well for them. he even started 5 out fo 6 games that he played in averaging 4 and 4.

they could be making room for a 1 for 2 deal.

also - all of a sudden we decide to work out some players? we could be looking to fill a spot created by a 2 for 1 deal.
