Dude get over it. If you look at his overall body of work the guy did more good then bad.

    But I guess in your book... Toronto game > 05 playoff series avg 30 pts/ 6.7 ast/ 7.4reb, 07 playoff series avg 25.3/ 7.3 ast/ 5.9 reb, 08 playoff series avg 27pts/ 6.2 ast / 8.2 reb, Main force behind 22 game win streak

Tmac playoff numbers are historic, some of the best of all time. These guys will never get it- he had no help.

I don't like the way he quit on the team and handled his business, but not enough to boo the guy.....

With TMac and Houston its not about how he was when he was here, it was about how he left the team his last few years with the team. He was a constant distraction for many different reasons, had a well documented fued with Rick Adelman, and requested a trade.

Just like with any relationship, its not how great it was in the past, its all about how it ends.

... still I agree that he doesnt really deserve to be booed necessarily.

It is really not necessary to boo a former player like that esp since it's been several years. Move on folks.

Let me start by saying I will boo anything with reason. I boo little kids. I swear I do. Ask people who sit with me. I booed some pre game crap at the home opener. I boo the space city seniors. I boo when they don't know how to play tic tac toe. Some dude had a chance to win, but he went for the block instead. I boo when you guess Honolulu and when you obviously know it's Hong Kong.

I don't think I attended the game vs Detroit, but if I did, I would have boo Tracy. If we traded Tracy to get a better player, I don't think I would have booed him. But it was the way he left, it put a bitter taste in your mouth.

I always boo everything on the other team. I am loyal as hell to the Rockets. I didn't help some hot chick get to her seat. I would have gotten up so she could get through, but she rather climb over the chair. I could have held my hand out to help her, but I didn't. She was wearing a Parker jersey.

Anyway, I didn't boo him. I just didn't care enough to boo tell you the truth. In a way, I kinda wanted him to lead a comeback only for it to be dashed by a great Rocket like Lowry or Scola.

He's a quitter. Always defended him. Never blamed him for our playoff failures. But the dude quit on the team then screwed us at the trade deadline. Would I boo him? No. Do I like him? No.

People are really missing the bigger picture here and its selfish as hell.

Kobe Bryant raped a girl, cheated on his wife, won some championships in an ultimately meaningless sport and gets cheers and MVP chants.

Tracy McGrady is a humanitarian who had some trouble dealing with the pressure of an injury riddled season in what was supposed to be our big "all-in" season. He gets boos and a quitter/loser title.

Congrats on boo-ing a humanitarian, which is just sad.

Stop being butthurt about it and move on.

I was at the game, and he did get a good amount of boos. But to be honest with you, they were just ignorant boos. If people understood the game of basketball and everything that goes with it, then they wouldn't boo.

For instance there was this ignorant jackass sitting behind me at the game and he kept saying stuff like "you suck t-wack!" "why don't you just get injured again!"

Then when T-mac started making dunking and making buckets the dude would say "oh are you healthy NOW?!" or the one that got me laughing "yeah you just got that dunk but you still suck!"

If that's not ignorant then I don't know what is. He was pretty much booing him for being injured while he was with us. It's like ok let's ignore how great of a player he was when he was healthy and how he gave his all in the playoffs but as soon as he gets injured let's boo the guy. WTF?

And to be honest I think the majority of the people booing him were just doing it to go along with the crowd. Intelligent fans who understand what actually went on, didn't boo.

Tmac did this team a favor. We would have been stuck with vc contract for a few years.
