I take pride in anti-shoplifting btw.....how do people like to cheat cashiers? *Cash payments- Easy. Obvious. 5th grade math. *Debit/Credit Cards- so for debit make them swipe the card and enter pin. And assist with this process if necessary. And cash back option stuff. For credit just swipe and that's it, no? And know how to redo this process if it messes up, etc. and if it is a company credit card just inform the customer of reward points or stuff like that. *Gift Cards- swipe. tell them balance. or to load, enter cash amount onto card or swipe debit/credit card and transfer funds to gift card. *Scanning- if you cant do this you're r****ded, JaVale McGee, or Swoly-D. *Complaints/Screaming customers- self-explanatory. Smile and follow company policy. *And if anything else happens/breaks I can just get help from other cashiers since its not my spot and never done that. Is that the j*zz of it? Thanks. Never worked in retail; but I did work as a cashier in food service. Make sure you lock it when you're not doing transactions. I got in trouble once for not keeping it locked (even though there were several of us standing right there and the key was in plain sight).
every time you give out change keep a quarter for your self. by the end of the day you'll have enough to buy a big mac meal
back up cashier training??? If you're under 21 I hope this makes you work that much harder in school bc 1 day as a cashier should make you realize that. When I was 15 and 16 I spent the summers working in my dads gas stations and he told me he hoped I learned why I needed to study so hard so I wouldn't end up with a job like that
