The towel is to dry his bottom half of his body, without covering anything else, and coming close to what we humans do (we shower, ducks bathe in the water, but not Donald). It's weird to see him covering a part of his body he should have had covered before, but he's not doing that to cover "private" parts, it's for higienic and drying purposes. Pluto is a pet. Goofy is a homeowner. That's the difference. Plus, Goofy talks, and Pluto doesn't. You didn't ask that, but I thought I would just to loosen up more mysteries.
The water molecules between the threads allow LESS light to come through the towel. The deal with airplane food is that I got a sandwich on the way to Orlando, but coming back I didn't get squat. Also, peanuts help you chew so that your ears don't POP when the pressure changes. You don't have to eat the peanuts, but it helps. EDIT: squat, not suat.
Ok Swoly, here is one I have an explanation I made up but I want to see what you say..........why is the sky blue?
How come you drive on the parkway but park in the driveway? How come if something is delivered by car it's a shipment, but if it's delivered by ship, it's cargo?
Sunlight coming through particles in oxygen and in the atmosphere is at the wavelength closest to blue, or what your eyes think is blue. This is why the sky is DARK BLUE or DARK NAVY at night: because of the lack of sunlight. I can't think of the scientific terminology, but I have an understanding of light and diffusion.
It creates public interest if it is dramatized or exaggerated. "We're talking about [blank] now, so it works." That's just my opinion. It's not a fact. I don't know for sure and several media outlets may have their different reasons.
Why is this thread called "Questions we can't answer" when it should be called "Q & A with SwoLy-D."?
Yeah, explains alot, my answer was that it was the reflextion of the oceans, sounded good at the time.
Maybe, but there must not be too much sky in GALVESTON and a lot in the BAHAMAS? or ? But, seriously, the ocean is blue because it diffuses the light as well, and maybe because of the sunlight. Apply this to answer why some "oceans" or sea waters are green.
why did a squirrel come up to me, attack me, and steal my backpack when i was walking to class during college? what did that little b*stard want from me?
As was explained by my high school physics teacher, it is not the lack of light that causes the darker blue, but the INCREASE in atmosphere that the light traverses to get to your eyes. As the sun goes down, the angle the light hits the atmosphere changes and it has more aborbed than when it is above. May or may not be accurate, but that is what he told us.
