Would you support things like a sugar tax, restrictions on high fructose corn syrup, and greater regulation of the fast food industry?
Will taxation and regulation change ones eating habits? I can get a salad and baked potato at wendy's for 1.99, but i always opt for the french fries and fried spicy chicken sandwich with a soda for 5.99. Which one do you think is more nutritious? I do not support any measure that involved collecting more money to cover ones bad eating habits.
so you don't support cigarette/liquor/vice tax? then how do you propose to "fix the obesity problem in America"? Also, I believe the current HCR takes in account bad lifestyle habits/unhealthy subscribers
Yes, taxes and regulation can change behavior. This has been known for 100's of years. You have had many many posts on the subject of insurance and you still exhibit a failure to understand the basic concept of what insurance is and why it exists. And apparently you are not even trolling, it's just you.
" Ju know what is like for the government to tell you what eat, what to drink? I got fock** Octopus coming out my ears maine" They should fix the obesity problem in America? conservatives would have a field day with that too. "These communists want to tell us what to eat, great americans take action!"
That is an awesome image. It has almost every single false talking point in one image. The U.S. isn't the world's best health care system as has been shown again and again. The government isn't taking over health care at all. It will still be done by private insurance companies Most doctors support health care reform including a public option which isn't in this bill. Health care is already rationed but by people who have a profit motive to deny the care. If insurance premiums rise then so will money spent on actual health care. The bill forces insurance companies to spend approximately 80% of premiums on actual health care. It's amazing that one image can represent so many lies.
To me, it is amazing that one poster can put up so many falsehoods and then take exception when called a liar.
No, the graphic is spot on correct. But since you introduced the topic of lying, here is a picture of the Liar-in-Chief for you:
Are you really that ignorant? Please show me where the U.S. has the best health care system in the world? Link it. Please show me what part of the bill has the govt. taking over health care. Link it. I'll do the linking for the part that shows doctors support the reform and a public option. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showpost.php?p=5190376&postcount=35 Spot on? Maybe you actually fell for the dishonesty being put out. I wouldn't have bought it, but maybe you genuinely were suckered in, despite the evidence which proves the claims false. Please provide more proof than just your "spot on" stamp of approval.
Yeah, yeah. We have heard this little diatribe from you before. Anything that contradicts your beloved politically correct perspective on this topic (or other topics) is a lie, and the person who has the audacity to contradict these talking points is a liar, and many other things as well. Yada, yada, yada. I do not provide links on your command, and in light of your tone and manner in your previous few posts, feel free to take your request and shove it. Not that it would matter if I did post links. You appear to be impervious to any facts that contradict the hard left party line on this. But there are others around who still receptive to an open discussion on the topic. So do not get confused into thinking that everybody needs to agree with what you think all of the time. They do not and they will not. It is time to get over yourself already.
It's not about one viewpoint or another. It's about facts. I've stated the facts. They've already been shown on this bbs. The facts are that the U.S. is not the best health care system in the world. The facts are that Most doctors support a public option. The facts are that nothing in the bill has anything like a govt. take over of health care. I could be for or against this bill, but those are facts. My opinion on the bill, or your opinion on the bill doesn't change the facts. Anyone who knowingly states claims contrary to those facts is indeed lying. I asked for links because I wanted to see if you had any reasoning for your stance, or were just swallowing the lies hook line and sinker. I'm perfectly fine with people disagreeing with me. I'm not fine with people spreading falsehoods. I'm far from PC. I don't see how pc even enters into this conversation, except it appears to be something you hide behind when your statements are refuted. I hate PC with a passion.
I know you and your ilk are desperate at this point and will say anything to scare people, but let's keep it civil shall we? you have been warned
No it's not, it's been posted here many times how the US spends more per capita than any other country while having a lower life expectancy, lower infant mortality rates and worse overall health. We have the most expensive and inefficient healthcare system in the world.
