Traffic in Houston is overrated if you know where you are going and leave at the right time.

I agree that KB homes are NOT known for good quality (sorry, Baqui99). David Powers homes are excellent!

Ok, let me get this straight... y'all are telling California people about traffic? lol. I dunno, maybe Santa Ana isn't as "trafficky", but some of the traffic in Cali is the worst anywhere in the nation.

Also, it seems as if a lot of people missed Baqui's sarcasm. I think it's pretty obvious his sarcasm sucks. :D

    I've driven in both and..

Gridlock is gridlock no matter where you are. That said, when the traffic is moving, Cali's traffic is dramatically different than Houston's.

    when traffic is moving...

Cali's freeway drivers drive a LOT faster than Houston's and much more aggressive. I find it very refreshing when I drive there. I can be going 75 and barely keeping up with traffic. But many people seem to not like the fact that their drivers are so fast and aggressive.

Houston is almost exactly opposite - people seem to drive to friggin' slow. At 65 mph, I zoom past people. My wife will say things like, "slow down honey!" And I'll say, "I'm going the speed limit - everybody else on the freeway is creeping along." And I swear to God.. everybody in this whole damn city seems to think they can merge onto a freeway at 35 mph. UGH!

You must've driven in a different Cali traffic than me - I was never going 75 during rush hour there. ;)

Oh, it wasn't rush hour. No way. That's gridlock. But Houston gets gridlock at rush hour as well.
