I'd like to know why Mike quit taking his Prozac. Because I swore justa a few weeks ago, Mike said he was over the Rocket's trading him.
Ask Why did you have to be a little biatch and play us for fools when all you wanted was the dough like a hoe? Mo' money mo problems.
This is a great post - I second this list of questions. It puts James on the spot, but not unfairly - these are legit questions and would provide A LOT of insight into what makes James tick. Besides, this obviously isn't a puff piece if they want to set up an interview with media of the team he just scorned....
With all due respect, you're out of your mind. The backcourt is full of redundant players who all will demand shots. Ricky Davis, Eddie Griffin and Mike James are all head cases and McCants is basically their Bob Sura. Even their best player, Garnett, is a complimentary player at this point in his career. The frontline is still a joke and Kevin McHale is a straight up moron as a GM. My question for Mike James: do you think the real reason you so often get treated like a cheap prostitute is that you hang out on street corners wearing hot pants and high heels and licking lollipops? Inquiring minds....
Yes, please ask a variation of these 2 questions. I really wonder what is preventing FA's (including ones that publicly admit they want to be in houston) from coming. i think the management hast hurt our reputation w/ players. they're not stupid and definitely notice when an organization shows no loyalty. on a side note, i think this call form mike james' agency (along with his recent quotes in the chronicle trying to explain his decision) shows that he does care how fans perceive him. and i think he definitely reads cf.net
I was worried I'd post this and nothing would happen, and looks like that is the case. The agency called back apologetic, that Mike has decided to focus strictly on the Minnesota media for now but that they want to keep us in mind in the near future. Of course by then these things won't be Rocket issues and there won't be a need, but we'll see. Just a hunch ... but I have a feeling posting this here, even though the intention was to get a few good questions, may not have been the best idea on my part. There are so many media and team officials that read this site that I wonder if someone told Mike it might not be a good idea to air more laundry about the Rockets given that what is done is done and he's a Timberwolf now. When I can though, I will try to pursue interviews like this in the future.
This gives me a different impression about MJ. I would be glad if he could do what he planed to do. I am starting to think that he is money-only one. All previous talks are B******t.
Bummer, nice try though. I bet at some point if you give a long enough, comfortable enough forum, where players can acutally explain themselves (Terry Gross / Fresh Air on NPR) players will go for it. They wont be as restricted by the soundbite, and it will be real fans. Next, maybe posting it in D&D, no reasonable person would go look in there. Foye was by far the best player on a team that was top 3 team all season despite being very undersized as a team. He lead them in points and was 2nd in rebounds, assists and steals. He was there go to guy, and I didn't see anyone stop him the games I saw, though his team was outscored a few times. In summer league he is scoring 26PPG on 53% shooting. Bust in 3 years, very doubtfull. ROY would not surprise me at all.
Awww, maaannnnn! I was hoping you could ask him, "When you hear the voices in your head... do you stab them through your ear canal with a q-tip?"
Now that is f'n hilarious. What? MJ doesn't have the energy to do both Minnesota and Houston media? Based on that last radio interview, I think he could listen to himself talk for hours without stopping. If the opportunity does come back, I don't think you will need any questions at all.... just say "GO" and turn the recorder on.
I know you aren't going to do the interview now, Clutch, but if you did, I would ask him this: "Of the few remaining players on the market who play your position, who do you think would be the best fit for Houston's MLE?"
I know it's too late, but I wanted to point out this is the perfect question. It's totally neutral, and James' answer to it would definitely give away his intentions about dealing with us. ...Unless he just said, "I don't know."
I'll break 'um down Scrubs style. You went with your gut; Minnesota's a great team. I do have three questions, though: Why do you hate me when I show you nothing but love? Who's gonna tell my mom? And what the hell am I supposed to do with ten thousand "Mike James, Houston Rockets Point Guard" business cards!?!?!
