QUESTION: What classes/direction/etc were most USEFUL to you doing what you wanted to do?

Many folx say Do what you like. . . i.e. computer programming . .game programming. . however without the business background. . you could be caught in employee hell. Which parts of the business curriculum were most helpful in being your own boss?

What classes should every Business Owner should take?

Business ethics, psychology, philosophy, statistics, business law, entrepreneurship (stretches creativity), management information systems, public speaking, and always keep up with current events and pop culture as well as technological advances (general and task environments). Of course all finance and accounting courses are useful in some form.

I'm planning on getting an MBA in the near future, and was wondering about a finance and accounting degree as well. My goal is to become the CEO of a fortune 500 company someday. Should I focus on accounting or finance during my MBA?

You don't learn business from going school, you only can trick people into believing that you know business by getting taught business in school.
