"You cannot say going to Mo ISO in the low post was better than the Moochie/Hakeem pnr." How can we know what would have happened if the Rockets had atleast given Mo the ball a little bit in the iso set down the stretch. I can tell you one thing, once the Lakers adjusted to Mooch, the Rockets could have used a change in play calls and didnt get it. Count the number of times down the stretch in the 4th qtr Mo received the ball in an isolated situation; they're non existant. You have to vary it up, you cannot depend 100% on screen and roll and guard isos. You have to go to Mo in the pivot at some point in crunch time. Since you asked, yes I will keep bringing it up until Rudy makes the adjustment, thats what this forum is about to feedback on the game. Mo Taylor is easily the most gifted offensive player in the frontcourt and ignoring him in the 4th qtr esp when the guard sets are bogging down is lunacy. Also, the KT comment was b/c I didnt appreciate how he has been getting so much PT when he really isnt producing all that well. I just am not impressed at all with what he does done this season, and I felt once Mo started fitting in he would produce well. However, to fit in, I felt he needed more PT. ------------------ Check out the Best Source for Draft Info Draftsource.net [This message has been edited by MManal (edited December 22, 2000).]
I do think Mo is a better scorer than Kenny. I don't have to wait to be convinced. I really like KT too.
My only complaint is similar to Jeff's in the sense that we shouldn't have forced so many Mobley ISOs in the end with his sore elbow. Instead we should of took advantage of Mo Taylor as MManal suggested. ------------------ Draftsource.net
MManal, You're right. I want Mo with the ball, not necessarily always in the low post, but...do you intend to blame Rudy into oblivion until he uses Mo the way you want him to. You cannot say going to Mo ISO in the low post was better than the Moochie/Hakeem pnr. I still say Moochie lost that lead for us, but he is untouchable for 1 month after The Shot, I guess. Why do you bash Kenny in some way to prop up Mo? Kenny is a very fine player. Let's save that for another time, though. We are talking about play calling here.
