My point is not that we should run the motion. My point is that the center doesn't have to run in the motion offense. He is pretty much stationary. If we wanted to run somthing like that, we could if we got rid of some of the old guys and get some new guys. Some of the players that would benefit from it.

    Yao
    Tmac
    MoT
    JJ
    Lue
    Boki
    Sura
    Padgette

Guys that would benefit from it

    Deke
    Ward

Guys that it would make a difference
    Spoon
    Howard
    Barrett

I also forget to mention that players tend to shoot better when they get a rhythm which much easier a motion offense versus grind it out offense like ours.

My vote. We need an offense that exploits Yao's passing skills to the fullest extent.

Here's your winner ~ even if we lost we would still be entertaining.

Or maybe Yao could start bringing the ball up... ;)

they should run an offense where Yao doesn't get the damn ball all the time. Yao needs to get his sorry ass away from the paint and not clog things up for TMac.

Vlade Divac back when he was in the Kings' offense was the guy directing the offense from a standstill position which allows him to effectively execute passes from stable positions.

This experiment with Yao getting the ball 100% of the time in the low post must end. Yao needs to go copycat and look at what Divac did in the Kings' offense.

Set screens all over the place to free up cutters and shooters.

However, the odds of JVG incorporating an offense like this is the same as hell freezing over.

The wishbone! And let's bring James Street in as our PG!*

I don't think it matters, great players make every offense good. You could run flex and have it work if you have great players. The problem is that the team dulls itself down and it just compounds itself. You need a guy like Sura who can pick up everybody's game and energy. It becomes, if you can do that bobby, let me show you what I can do type of thing. McGrady and Yao are so physically gifted they can make any offense work. They just need a spark. Someone to ignite them and Sura seems like a guy who can do it thus far.

Maybe we should get Pardee over to script out a run and shoot.

I'm sure Ward would like it and Yao would make a heck of a target on crossing routes. T-Mac has some sweet moves that could do well from the single back and we could even bring in Spoon for short yardage plays.
