We have our tickets, though it was not discussed who bought them, and they are in the same location. To my knowledge, we will be attending all home playoff games.
Rowdies BETTER be there!!! The rockets owe them. I remember how miserable games used to be there, even when we were winning. God forbid If TC turns into the old executives and their mistress' sitting on their hands again for 20% of the game. Oh..the other 80% they are up in the Club / Lexus Lounge getting their drink on. And empty seats dont look good on prime time television. How do I know? I used to have tickets there. And after the novelty wore off with the plasma tvs and gourmet food i told my rep to get me far away from those old stiffs who gave me evil eyes for *gasp* cheering.
the Rockets don't owe them anything. They got free tickets to help atmosphere, this years team plus the Rowdies=better atmosphere and they should be thankfull for the chance to see NBA playoff games for free. I paid lots for mine and don't get me wrong I want them to be there but don't say the Rockets owe them anything
And that's why Houston crowds have sucked and the Rockets haven't previously had better success playing at home.
Why not make the whole section a Red Rowdy section or move them to the back of the section where no one is sitting behind them? Got to keep the Rowdies....AND the paying customers happy. DD
hopefully next year more players will step up and buy more rowdy tickets. JVG's 50 was HUGE, and tmac's 20 was great. however tmac is making about 10x what jeff makes. he should put out for 500 rowdies!! juwon could probably invest in 100 himself. this guy was one of the first 100-million dollar contracts. with other players chipping in we should be able to reach 700 ROWDIES!!! imagine the home-court advantage
I'm speculating that they'll be moved to the back. That would also cut the cost down for the tix. Unfortunately, it makes them much harder to see. The ideal solution (which I don't forsee happening) is them selling the entire back half of 114 as the Rowdy section. I thought that was going to be the plan last year, but it didn't happen, and I ended up being one of the only people that bought a package there for that reason. If they were to hold and market that section as such, they might get a better response. Besides, eventually they will want to turnover the "free" Rowdies into "paying" Rowdies. Evan
does antone know how the "baseline bums" in San Antonio work? Do they get reduced tickets in their section?
