Not the question of the year, but obviously a backup center is a must.

Jermaine Oneal is interesting. I wonder what he is going to sign for.

Brad Miller at the LLE would be a nice backup. All depends also on what goes in a deal for Bosh (if that happens)

If we still have Hayes on the roster you can sign a guy like Miller knowing you still have defensive specialist Chuckwagon there when you need him.

we all know we need a back up center. Just because were caught up in the FA market doesnt mean we need a new thread stating the obvious lacks on our team. We can pick up a backup center for the vet-min to mle so we can wait on that stuff.

By waiting you risk the chance of getting a good backup for the MLE or LLE. Miller, Gortat players like these are currently being wooed by other teams. Also, stating the obvious has not worked in the past two seasons when it is done late, so it would seem like a good idea to start panicking now. ;)

Sorry, meant to say risk the chance of not getting a good backup for the MLE or LLE.

Why is this the question of the year? We've known this for a long time. It's the team's most glaring weakness. I think the team should pursue Haywood or Miller.

we can still wait. Who says we can get a backup only in FA. We are stacked with assets. Its not like we stopped all basketball operations until we got deke signed.

Yes, i know. It is unbelievable that we are still having this discussion after what we saw the team go thru last season. Un-freakin-believable that we are now chasing a dream when reality kicked us dead in the nuts last season because of our lack of size in the paint, not because of our lack for talent.
