About as hyperbolic as anything BigTexxx wrote.

McCain vs. Obama does appear to be more of a horse race than McCain vs. Clinton. To someone who doesn't agree with liberal views, it is natural to want Clinton to be the victor.

That said, it is a long way until November and, quite frankly, any of the three could win.

Agreed. I recommend replying if they have anything sensible to say (which is rare, if ever). Ignore the rest. Or it will just continue. The more they post, the more downhill the quality of this forum goes.

I take it from this thread that Trader_J and BiggTex are obviously big supporters of Hillary in the campaign. Good choice.

I think it's great that we had 2 good candiates from which to choose. I can understand how Obama's Wright gaffe could sway you over to Hillary.

We can't lose either way. Maybe we can all get together to celebrate the Democratic presidential victory in November.

...and Rocket Rich, your turn to the darkside is complete.

Fair enough, but please point out which poll forecasts the Obama trouncing McCain scenario that mc mark refers to.

This should be repeated over and over. In a period of 3 months from Iowa to today, we've gone from McCain being a nobody to the nominee, Obama being a nobody to sweeping a bunch of states, back down to earth. We've had periods where both Obama and Clinton destroy McCain, and polls that show McCain pulling away. That's 3 months.

We have 7 months to go. All of these "who can beat who in November" things are worthless at this point.

Darkside? Because I don't like ANY of the candidates that made me turn to the darkside? If anything, voting for Hillary in the Texas primary made me turn to the darkside. This is a matter of choosing between the lesser of evils. All 3 candidates have a darkside!

And since we are using Star Wars analogies, I would say Obama is like Senator Palpatine(The Emperor). Obama is just like the smooth talking Senator Palpatine who turns out to really be Darth Sidious.

Coming from the guy who encouraged Republicans to vote for Hillary in the primarycaucus because McCain stands a better chance of beating her than Obama in the general Remember Hillary for Hilarity? This ain't morality, T_J; for you, it's opportunity.

Hillary is more like Count Dooku while McCain is General Grievous. ;)

This perception needs to go away. Numbers are essentially the same between McCain vs. Obama and McCain vs. Clinton and have been for a month.

I'm glad you took that with the humor in which it was intended.

I kind of wish Obama would offer Clinton the VP so this would all just go away. Clinton can't win and most every objective party admits such but her refusal to join reality and to continue with the dirty tactics is only going to help the Republicans in the fall. As much as I despise Clinton's tactics, to allow her to keep throwing bullcrap on the board to see what sticks is going to damage Obama at some point and she needs to be stopped, maybe even if it's by appeasing her twisted hunger for power.
