Question for Doc Rocket or others "in the know"

SG- Cuttino, Torres
SF- *Lewis, Nachbar, Morris
PF- Taylor, Griffin
C- Ming, Cato

*KT & Rice = Trade for Rashard Lewis

 

I've been told that "probably none of those three will make the team. Right now we're looking elsewhere."

They may all three make it...that's just the word going around.

As for Kenny, I've been told they're gonna keep him. Again, that could all change.

I think either Kenny or Mo will be traded sometime during the season. If Mo Plays well, then KT's gone. If Mo plays bad, and KT is not getting enough minutes, KT's gone. KT will be gone. I have no doubt.

I think it would be a good idea to do a KT and Mooch for Jamaal Crawford deal. That deal would benefit both sides greatly. Crawford can backup both Guard spots, and brings size to a backcourt that lacks it. Also, we'd clear our glut at PF.

In return, we'll probably have to take on another contract or involve a team that wants Travis Best and/or Eddie Robinson.

 

Thanks for the scoop, Doc. It does make a lot of sense to keep KT around for awhile, at least, with MoT coming off an injury and being suspended for the first 5 games.

 

I was kind of suprised when we picked Tito when Rod Grizzard was on the board.

Grizzard was rated higher on many mock drafts and he potentially filled a more pressing need as a backup SG.

The fact they picked a PG could get your trade wheels churning. Who is going? Moochie? Who needs a PG? Clippers?

 

Trading Mooch makes no sense unless we get a proven backup pg in return. No guarantee that Francis doesn't get migraines again.

whatever may be in the works, it won't involve Doug Christie, as I speculated weeks ago. ESPN has reported that the Maloofs are going to sign Bibby, eat a ton of luxury tax, keep the entire roster intact and shoot for the championship again. Before, there was speculation that the Kings would dump Christie for salary reasons. I gotta admire the Maloofs. They said that they were too close to give up now and that even though it's financial suicide, the Sactown fans deserve another run.

Damn. Somebody trade Drayton McLane for the Maloofs. Damn.


I wonder if its possible to get Jeff McGinnis. I'd take him over Mooch, Tierre and Tito any day. I thot McGinnis is a free agent and Clips aren't going to sign him, but I may be off by a year.

 

McGinnis is a free agent and will not be resigned by the Clippers because of his actions regarding teammates and coach Gentry. I don't know if the Rockets will want to bid for him because other teams are interested.

 

What makes you think doc rocket is really a "Rockets' insider"? I'm sorry but "We're going to keep Kenny Thomas, but that might change" doesnt seem like super secret detective work to me.

Maybe there should be a FAQ to take care of stuff like this. Every month somebody shows up to question proven insiders like Doc and Popeye.

Bassfly: It's not super secret detective work. It's inside info. Appreciate it or don't. It's getting boring to hear people doubt him. Only Clutch knows for sure who Doc Rocket is. Clutch assures us he is the real deal and if you follow the board for a little while it will become obvious that he is. Doc posted a while back, while everyone was working out their KT trade scenarios, that he was staying for reasons Doc could not disclose. His post here was just reiterating that that remains the case.

Approximately once a month someone shows up and demands that Doc Rocket or oeilpere prove their credentials. steddinotayto's right. Do a search just to see how tired it is to call him out this way. I'm biased, but I think there are advantages to lurking for over two years before posting.

 

well you're blind then....He may only have 160 some-odd posts, but all of them have info in them, and I, as most others, believe he does have "inside info".

 

Agreed, mduke. But the main thing is that Clutch believes he has inside info. And he's the only one, as far as I know, who knows who he actually is. Rule #1: Trust Clutch. More than any other fan site, basketball or not, he has given us every reason to take him at his word. If he says Doc Rocket's for real, that's more than good enough for me.

It amazes me how people think saying 'well, I'M not convinced' passes for discourse.
