In heaven your team wins the championship every year and it feels like the first one every time. There, now you know.
okay, so we agree. now, it wouldn't bother me one way or the other if it didn't have such a giant impact on our society.
i'm with you. and it wouldn't bother me so much if society didn't have such a giant impact on it, either. the American Dream should not be the aim of the church.
i don't want to ban religion, i want it practiced at home with your family however you see fit. it's nobody else's business.
hmmm...see i disagree with this. i enjoy being part of a church..a community of believers. i think the Christian faith is communal at its very heart. it's not just something to talk about..it's something to live together.
here is how I practice religion crack addicts call me and ask for help, so I take the time to try single moms call and ask for money to pay a light bill or buy food, so I go over a prostitute asks my wife and I to help her off the streets, off we go a husband calls when the wife leaves and asks us to talk to her, into the car jump my wife and I a 16 yr old kid is kicked out of the house and we are asked to talk (really listen) to him the list is much longer... I could definately free up alot of time sitting at home... I know what you are saying, you would like for religious people to stop imposing their will on the rest of us.... Me Too
How can you hide something at home that is more important and more integral to who you are then anything else? I would have to question someone who can keep his faith hidden and private in his own house - true faith is who you are. I also believe the best way to show that to other people is through our actions not our words (we need to have the words ready when asked but the actions draw others). We should preach the gospel at all times but only use words when we have to.
i didn't say it very well. rhester has it right, i don't want religion to have any impact in the way we negotiate our society.
Question for Non-Church goers, why don't you come visit our church one Sunday? We could have a clutch fans, red rowdy Sunday!
sundays are way too sacred to me. i would never spend time doing things i don't want to do if i don't have to, thanks for the invite though, cheers.
if you find yourself in brooklyn, you are more than welcome to stop on by. we can go up to my roof deck, admire the panaramic view of nyc and throw down a few suds. that's my idea of congregating
