I had Blockbuster but switched to Netflix recently. Blockbuster seemed to take too long to recognize my DVD's as being returned. Netflix is a 2 day turnaround. I drop them in a mailbox on Monday morning, and new one's arrive by Wednesday.
I use Netflix for $19.87 a month. I put two DVDs in the mailbox yesterday at 1:30 or so, then got an e-mail this morning at 7:17 that'd they'd received both of them. My next two will be in my mailbox tomorrow.
Am I the last person still using Blockbuster's in-store "Freedom Pass"? I pay more ($24.99 a month), but I just love the idea of getting the exact movie you want, when you want it. I've made three trips to the store in a day for new movies, and I've gone numerous days in a row swapping out movies. I just like the added convenience of having what I want available when I want it.
Nah, Behad. I'm worse. I rent movies 1-2 times a year. Watch another couple at theatres and HBO. That means I watch less than 10 movies a year. None of these offers make sense to me.
Yah Behad thats what my buddy has... he goes every tuesday gets as many new releases as he can, burns them, then returns them to the store. I'm pumped because today he's ripping Harold and Kumar for me.
It's just that when I work nights (sure hope my boss isn't readin this), we watch movies. Since I work 3 or 4 or more nights in a row, I like to be able to get those new movies each day before my shift. I couldn't do this online.
