Nah, I really hate this attitude/approach. Losing because you suck is fine, that's sports. Deliberately benching people or lying about injuries to lose is just straight up b**** mode, **** that ****. Compete to the best of your ability, if you suck that's fine, but give it your all. Deliberately losing is just what losers do, and the worst thing in any sport ever. Trash ass take.

7th and 11th are still high lotto picks, you wont get those unless you are bad.

The best way to rebuild is still via The Process aka tanking. While you are doing that you can take on bad contracts on the side and flip them for more assets so your asset base isnt wasted. Basically what Presti is doing in OKC.

So you think Eric Gordan and John Wall should have been playing after the All Star Break in order to win as many games as we could?

I agree with the young players that you want them to get reps and compete. Winning culture is important. But if we get to the All Star break, and the team won't be competing for a playoff spot, and Jalen Green or Mobley have nagging injuries, I certainly don't think it's a terrible idea to give them a lighter load in the second half of the season, and give some of the other younger guys a chance to compete.

You might think it's a trash ass take, but it's basically what every NBA team not in the playoff picture does every year to some extent or another.

    Like the Bucks did? Wait...

The Sixers spent the better part of a decade with losing records from swinging and missing in the draft.

When did the Jazz, Nuggets, Clippers, Nets, Bucks, Heat tank for consecutive years to build their teams up?

Notice the competitive teams aren't full of top #5 players drafted in-house.

Even the Suns were nothing before CP3 got there, and the Sixers are still nothing.

But, that's the best way... we can be just like the Celtics, lose for a while, draft some young talent, and then continue to lose.

You were talking about benching the rookie on the injury list even if they weren't injured. The rest of this response is irrelevant, you're talking a totally different situation. It remains a trash ass take regardless of how much you want to change the goalposts to deflect.
