Question about Madden 2009 defences

To stop the run put 8 in the box.

Top stop the screen put your defense in Dime Flats and press your corners up.

Also if you guys are playing against each other at the same place(meaning not online), check to see if his controller is on All-Madden. I brought my game to my homeboy house and loaded the settings to All-Madden but only my controller was on All-Madden, you have to change the other controller to All-Madden or it will be on Pro.

 

Against the middle slant just play Cover 2 and control one of your Defensive Ends to get pressure. I'm good at controlling the Ends when playing someone so I usually zone the whole game and I get a lot of pressure.

 

Best Madden Team to play online:

The Giants.

Brandon Jacobs owns everyone and you have Umenyurmonster and Tuck on the sides (all you have to do is press down, down and they'll quickly beat the linemen and apply instant pressure)

The receivers are decent, Manningham always seems to be open.

Plus Boss plays like Gates.

You the Giants, I guarantee the win. Oh and try corner blitzing zones, I haven't lost with that Zone Blitz scheme.

I'm 4-0 against the Texans, 5-0 against the Saints, 3-0 against the Chargers.

0-3 vs. the Ravens and 0-4 against the Titans

Haha I can tell you for a 100% certainty that I would own you with the Texans, I would bet one of my Season Tickets on it.

Seriously, CB Zone Blitzing? If there were a set of perameters for a Cheesy Noob Madden Player, that would be number 1 on the list, followed by the no huddle and repetative play-calling tactic.

oh wait i forgot that the person controlling the team is what actually matters...

 

So far I am 200-0 against the Texans, but then I am playing against Gary Kubiak on Xbox live, so no real surprise.

How is it Cheesy?

It's a defensive scheme that works well with some teams with others not.

I use it because I usually apply the pressure with Tuck on the right causing the QB to scramble left only to find a mouth full of CB.

I also do it because people on Madden these days are "Pass to the rb happy". Would you play man when they have sproles against Antonio Pierce on him? NO. Because all the opposing player would do is pass it to the rb.

 

Anyone who like to set up "Madden Cast" on PS3 is more than welcome though.
