actually......I always heard it was a month to clean up enough to pass a piss test...wether or not there is still THC in your fat cells....for a normal person(not excessively fat)...your urine stream will be clean after 30 days or so. I know from personal experience back in the day that waiting a month was enough to pass. but the tests these days are much harder to beat....depends on which test the company is willing to pay for.....tests can detect excessive water, they can detect the more common masking agents...and if it is a hair test(unlikely unless it is a high security job)...then forget about it....
Would you smoke it if was legal? knowing you socially(somewhat), I get the feeling you would...it would certainly be easier on your liver/stomach than your current method of getting intoxicated..
"oh my me...i left pot everywhere. now they're gonna think they're supposed to use it. man, i shouldn't have smoked that joint on the Third Day..."
They get money from the Gov for making people take drug tests. That is why they do it. Your taxes pay for keeping people who smoke pot unemployed.
and they also can save money on their liability insurance and health insurance rates....thus saving the rest of their employees money (if the employee pays for the insurance themselves)
Too bad they don't have diet requirements and mental screenings. I would rather not work for and with fat people that have high cholesterol, and people who think "dangerous thoughts" if it is affecting my insurance. THX-1138?
And? Do you really think businesses would prefer to employ people who (illegally) smoke pot over those who don't? Seems to be that government funds just make it cost-effective for businesses who wish to employ expensive drug tests to ensure their employees aren't on drugs. I've been wrong before though.
If the person who does (illegally) smoke pot can do the job better, then they're stupid for not hiring someone based on what they do on their own time.
Isn't that their call to make, though? I think it's stupid that alot of entry level type jobs require a college degree when there are plenty of people very qualified to do those jobs without the degree, but they make their own decisions. I do think it's a more complicated issue than you do, and if I were running certain types of companies, or filling certain types of jobs, I would require a drug test too. For other types of jobs or companies I wouldn't care.
Sped? Not since 1993. Driven intoxicated? NEVER!!!! It's the arrogance of his tone I had issue with. Not the act. I've got plenty of friends who get "nated" from time to time.
I agree to a certain extent. But the problem is now the gov is trying to make everyone care, or at least pay them off when all else fails. I really don't think the pot smoking is that big of a problem. It is costly, intrusive, hype. And people bending over for it is sad.
To be fair, I've never enjoyed smoking pot. It makes me paranoid. Did it a few times in high school, and once every couple of years since then. Just not my cup-o-tea!
