I don't agree with this. Since that Sacramento game we have seen a few things from Yao that make me think Vlade won't use his experience as effectively this time (minus a play or two). First, Yao really seems to be hitting a stretch where he has his legs under him. Just in terms of atheltic ability he is quicker and more active than he was earlier in the season. Second, and more importantly, Yao is seriously being a bruiser on the inside. Valde is not super tall, and, his defense, like his offense, relies mostly on gimmicks. If Yao can avoid the Vlade flop, he should be able to get Divac in foul trouble ala last game. Just my $0.02.
Yeah, I wonder how many of those rebounds are offensive? Once Webber get's a rebound on offense, it's amost aways money!
This game has epic porpotion implications written all over it. I think a win vs sac will give this young rocket team tremendous confidence boost and maybe, albeit it a slight chance, will push the rockets into a championship contender. Although the chances of winning are slim for the rockets if you just look at the past meetings of the two teams, houston does have elements of surprise, hunger and desire in this game. After a humiliating lost a week ago, I am sure this time around would be much different for the rockets. And by the way, Vlade's old bags of tricks will not work again, Rudy and company will make sure of that. I am sure Yao is looking at the tapes and will have an answer for Vlade. As much as I want the rockets to win, I think this game is a 50/50 call. Go rockets.
