    If he is a hitman, he's no professional. Seems like he was way too wound up by the murders that he couldn't drive straight. Then he couldn't manage to lay low, couldn't properly hide evidence, made an ill-advised attempt to escape apprehension, and then didn't have his story straight in interrogation. If he is a hitman, it's not unreasonable to believe he'll roll over on his employer in the end.

    If he's an unwilling hitman, there's a chance that whoever had him do the job had some kind of leverage on him. If so, he probably won't roll over.
