Considering how f'ed up the rest of the royal family is past and present, her life has been incredibly free of problems. UK probably becomes a republic without her.
I don’t think you understood what I was trying to say, and yes you’re an embarrassment with your threads screaming “I don’t have friends so give me attention” Anyways this faux outrage Over people that have legitimate reasons to be upset at the queen is not something you you have the capacity for getting was my point. You probably still don’t understand that. Not to mention her Epstein clone of a son she protected from consequences
There has been a lot of criticism of the Queen the last 20 years. There was criticism of her handling of Prince Albert that @LosPollosHermanos has referenced. There was criticism of her for not standing up for Meghan Markle.
Not one thread on here; which is my point. Regardless, she started behind a Mortar gun in WWII at age 25, and always balanced herself between parliament & commons. Bottom line: She was a bad ass.
Show it. I'm 1/2 limey, and I really don't care that much, but my mom, and all the lineage prior? She had tears in her eyes. UK was an Empire and Queen Elizabeth was one of the greatest. EDIT: When in the hell have I ever talked about my heritage? I'm sure in passing, but we should all be proud of who we are. Spent over 3 hours watching my 20 nephew getting married. Not a mistake, at all. Totally a good idea.
magna carta has worked for over 800 years. better to have a token head of state than give politicians more power.
She did a lot of good stuff in her life as well, let's not ignore that also. Most people do good and bad stuff in their life, should we ignore everybody?
Name a Empire that was not built on the exploitation of people? So I guess you feel this way about most Chinese rulers as well?
It's weird to attempt to blame slavery on the British Empire.... it's a tradition that started in Africa and persisted for almost all of human history.... until the British Empire decided that it should come to an end and they did more to actively shut down the ancient African tradition across the globe than anyone in history. I guess some people just like to whine.
I don't see many people ignoring the good stuff she did in her life, her tributes need to be balanced.
Not a lot of people ignoring anything that can be perceived as bad. It's a lot more complicated than good or bad anyway, a lot of the tuff she is being villainized about she inherited, and it ended under her, so yeah let's be balanced.
