The idiots who wished McHale would lose another child on facebook(LOF's) are another example that these morons have crossed the moral barrier.

 

I do not find him funny. The use of Asian in the states as a race is just a reflection of people's ignorance and arrogance.

Don't take those comments too seriously. Like Clutch has stated before, there's a fraction of crazed fans with crazy comments. JeremyLin.net has users who post knee-jerk reactions. It's usually the same people too. It was also very easy to post on there as the creator barely moderated it and plenty of trolls could comment about anything.

Yaomingmania is basically a dump, with former CF/YOF (Pryuen) as the main poster, and the same 3-5 people arguing with each other.

None of those websites have the same traffic of users as CFs, nor do they have other areas like Hangout here.

 

If you go by the posts there and the majority here sadly yes.Go read the thread about Bev being injured.

 

In every ethnicity, there are people who do absurd things. That's nothing to do with ethnicity. That kind of generalization is a source of racism. I am Asian but I'd not think that means I can represent others in my ethnicity or make racism claims against my own race. That's why I do not find comedians who make bad jokes about their own culture funny. If i do not dare to say something about other race, I would not say the same thing about my race. Against, it is just my personal opinion.

 

I was thinking Jim Crow but you've got good insight.

 

An appropriate joke in one culture might be insulting in another culture.

I wish Beverley a full recovery, but take your time, you don't want to come back too early and reinjure yourself.

Obviously, this is a good opportunity for Lin. He should set up Dwight with more easy baskets. Take those open 3s. Keep penetrating and breaking down the defenses.

But just remember, this opportunity is Lin auditioning for his next team. Regardless of how well Lin does in Beverley's absence, McHale will reinsert Beverley back as starter when he is back. Lin's playing time is not dictated by how well he's playing, but by how well Beverley's playing. So unless Beverley starts bricking 3s and plays lazy defense, Lin will not start.

Yeah, he is auditioning for his future. Not sure about Bev situation, we'll see, but I don't see Lin staying with this organization the way they have disrespected him even if he stays the starter. They will have to eat a lot of crow to get him to resign with them, if not traded before his contract ends.

Now I don't agree with everything they are saying but you are crazy to think that most LOFs would want Bev to be hurt just so Lin can start.

 

Geez, some ugly comments from that site. But LOH also did their fair share of bashing Lin. Why can't people just let Lin play ball without all these distractions. Give him a few years to prove himself. Success and fame are earned, not written. Let him prove his game.

I think it is OK to call out individuals. sadly that is not how things are done in CF. Here is how it is done here: make a tag, make sure tag is associated with something bad, and then use it on others whenever we do not have a good argument.

Unfortunately this is human nature and this is how our perception works.
