True but I still got to put him at the #4 - #5 range, because he still hasn't gotten them over the hump.
I can't put Herbert over Watson because Watson at his best is better than Herbert at his best. He took the Texans to the playoffs We may not like it but while he was here, considering the talent and coaching he had around him, he was a beast!
I still can’t believe BOB put JJ Watt in at rb in a playoff game. Between that and the fake punt vs KC it’s hard to find a coach with that on his playoff resume.
Putting Watt in is a thing. Actually giving him the ball and not using him as a decoy is a spectacular level of dumb.
In no way is Watson better than Herbert at their absolute best. Herbert is the far superior physical talent
Yeah it's not even really that close. Derapist isn't in the conversation for a top 5 qb like Herbert is. He'll also have not played in basically two years
We will see what he can do this year. He has all the physical talent to be a good new age QB. Just a matter if it translates
Truth be told he still doesn’t have much to work with this year Pierce Cooks Nico Jordan Brown Isn’t really that much power fire especially if one or 2 of those guys get hurt Now next year if we could add maybe let’s just say… JSN WR from OSU Michael Mayer TE from ND who must “experts” have going in the first round. And along with hopefully a healthy metchie Now we’re talking
He has enough. He has more than Deshaun had to work with. #1, he has a better offense line, #2 he has better head coach and OC, and #3 he has a better running back to work with. I think Deshaun had a better receiving core in HOP and Fuller but I think he has enough to make an honest assessment.
No one will agree with you that Watson is physically superior to Herbert. Herbert is bigger, stronger, faster, much stronger arm. Also younger. You act like Watson led a team devoid of talent to the playoffs. He didn’t The team that didn’t have talent was a 4 win team. Something Herbert hasn’t done. Not even mentioning Herbert had the best rookie season of all time for a QB
