It’s stupid Q stuff. But the Podesta art thing is real. Which is why I’m throwing it out there Why anyone would accept it as normal behavior is beyond me. Calling me a nut, just tells me you refuse to look or you’re fine with it. Either way your complicit by not saying it’s NOT OK. ****. This easily should be something we agree on. But look how hard it is. I’ll bet if Podesta was Trumps campaign manager you’d click and I’d be the first to line up with you and say **** this.
People in my family send me QAnon youtube videos unsolicited all the time. QAnon is very effective on paranoid older people who are very religious. FYI there are ALOT of those people in the US. Telling people what they want to hear will always get you followers though I guess.
This thread sent me down the Q rabbit hole, which immediately landed me on Podesta last night. Which is why I've been actively posting about him or more particularly his art collection. Of course I'm aware of Q, but Google searches don't lead you to the Q source. From what I can tell he posts on another platform, 4chan or something. Never heard of it and don't have the app. Don't want it either. It seems he's been wrong as much as he's been right and whoever it is has access. I think it could be John Solomon. I have absolutely nothing to back that up with either. I was hoping there was someone in the D&D that follows him and could enlighten us (NO...it's not me!) From what I gather it's the same conspiracy theory about the elite globalists and their plot to form a one world government.
I had never heard anything about Podesta's art, so I Googled it. What I found was he appears to be a fan of sculptor, Patricia Piccinini. So I looked her up. Is her stuff strange? Yes. Is some of it really strange? Yes. Would I collect her stuff? Probably not. Would I like to see it in person? Hell yes. Some of it looks cool as hell. Maybe you've seen him linked to other artists that I'm unfamiliar with. The thing is, most contemporary artists these days thrive in controversy; their works are designed, at least in part, to push boundaries and to make the viewer think. In the eyes of many in the art world today, if it looks like art, it's probably not art. I googled "Podesta cooking party" as well... https://www.artsy.net/article/artsy...amovic-performance-that-contributed-pizzagate All I'm seeing are nothingburgers, man. Either you've got a smoking gun you're going to have to share, or people have tried to smear him and you've fallen for it (like the Q crowd). If that's the case there's no harm done; I enjoyed what I saw.
Classic O's claiming he does not really believe in something but then giving it the whiff of believabilty because you never know. Young children looking compromised, that's a loaded sentence. Here is another take. https://news.artnet.com/art-world/pizzagate-maria-marshall-1011377 “Marshall’s mesmerizing scenarios of maternal fear and dread strike at the heart of Western culture’s commodification of childhood,” notes the Metropolitan Museum of Art in its description of the work, currently on view at the NMWA. Marshall’s son was not, in fact, smoking in the work, which is meant to reflect a new mother’s anxieties about not being able to control her children’s future or prevent them from developing harmful addictions.
Typical O's just throwing **** out and hoping somebody will take the bait while claiming none of this really matters to him. He just finds it interesting. Waiting to see examples of "compromised kids"
I know the paintings you mean. I'm guessing you don't spend your weekends in art galleries. Yeah, they're weird and "edgy" and not the ones I would hang in my house. But, you're probably reading too much into it if you think Podesta's art collection can tell you very much about Podesta the man.
I'm not a prude by any means and I like edgy humor. I don't F around when it comes kids because I have kids. Everyone's entitled their own opinions and if this type of art and the 'spirit cookings' a sh^t peak their interests the by God have a go at it. That's hard pass for me. Podesta is sicko. I know you're not exactly sticking up for him,@JuanValdez But I also don't hear anyone denouncing his taste. And that's disturbing because to me that means it's a norm for some. The D&D doesn't disappoint. @jiggyfly Your obsession with me is flattering. I'm playing hard to get.
That's fine. I'm no art snob either. Most of it bores me to tears. This woman's stuff was at least interesting to look at. If nothing else I can see she's very talented. Different strokes for different folks...
yep this artist, her work, art enthusiasts are not normal at all Patricia Piccinini has been called "one of Australia's most acclaimed contemporary artists". She was born in Sierra Leone and lives and works in Melbourne. Her work encompasses sculpture, photography, video and drawing and her practice examines the increasingly nebulous boundary between the artificial and the natural as it appears in contemporary culture and ideas. Her surreal drawings, hybrid animals and vehicular creatures question the way that contemporary technology and culture changes our understanding of what it means to be human and wonders at our relationships with – and responsibilities towards – that which we create. While ethics are central, her approach is ambiguous and questioning rather than moralistic and didactic. In 2003 her exhibition 'We Are Family' represented Australia at the 50th Venice Biennale before touring to the Hara Museum, Tokyo. Recent solo museum exhibitions include 'ComCiência' at CCBB Brazil, 'Relativity' at the Galway International Art Festival, 'Hold Me Close To Your Heart' at Arter Space For Art, Istanbul, 'Once Upon a Time' at AGSA, as well as numerous solo and group shows and Biennials in Europe, UK, USA, South America, Asia and Australia. Notable groups exhibitions include 'The Universe and Art' at Mori Art Museum Tokyo, 'Global Feminisms' at the Brooklyn Museum and 'Face Up' at the Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin. In 2013 she was commissioned by the Centenary of Canberra to create The Skywhale.
Is Piccinni the only artist who’s art he collected? There are specific pieces that are disturbing. The “spiritual cookings” performed by a self proclaimed satanist (no s-t) is disturbing. Why defend him like he’s family? If you take a deeper look at the content of his art interests you might find it disturbing. Or maybe that’s your norm. That’s up to each individual. If this were Steve Banyon would the defense be so galvanized? My takeaway from this is protect your own even if he’s pedo. Nice look.
I find it weird but lots of people are weird. Jumping from he's a weirdo to he runs a pizza pedo ring is quite a jump. I'm much more alarmed by the wannabe nazis everyone acts like don't exist. Usually by people who think pizza parlor pedo rings are a legit thing.
You’re not alarmed by people who go around calling people nazi’s? The SJWs and PC police? Oh well, to each his own and so far I’m the only one on the D&D that’s disturbed by his choice in art and his “spiritual cooking” theme parties. If this guy was a republican....just sayin.
Eh, to judge someone based on their art taste is like blaming violent crime rates on gangsta rap and first person shooter video games. It's like being outraged by over the top violence in Tarantino movies while still being for 2nd Amendment Rights when one medium actually kills people and the other is make believe. I really don't know a lot about Podesta but for me to assume he's a child sex predator based on some art is a bit of a stretch. I agree in that I wouldn't have any of his type of art in my own home but I'm not him. I mean here's an image of a crucifix in a jar of piss. At first glance, it's offensive. Upon explanation, it's the artist saying that we piss on Christ's message for our own selfish motives. Again not art I would personally have hanging on my wall at home, but some people out there might think otherwise. Here, fictional crime boss feels lonely by looking at white wallpaper laminate. Who am I tell him his art sucks? It ****ing sucks.
I think it's normal. Artists are trying to evoke an emotional reaction, make people think about the world in a different way, and sometimes resort to the extreme to do it (and to get attention, make money, etc). Some art enthusiasts are into this sort of artistic exercise. Maybe there is the occasional sociopath who likes sick pictures because he does sick things. I believe most people who like this art just like the philosophical game at play. Its a subculture that most people aren't a part of, though, so I'm not that surprised that some recoil at it. It's not my bag, but I know such people and they might be pretentious but they're not monsters. Actually, googling her I found multiple instances where she's complained about being hounded by conspiracists and proclaiming she is NOT a satanist, just an artist. I like her spiritual cooking stuff, btw. If you read about Abramovic's other stuff, it doesn't look as satanic but it also is pretty extreme in other ways.
