Discussion in 'BBS Hangout: Debate & Discussion' started by Sweet Lou 4 2, Nov 11, 2017.

?

Which is more credible?

  1. Putin and his claim that he nor Russia made an effort to interfere in U.S. elections

  2. U.S. intelligence agencies claim that Russia clearly tried to interfere

Results are only viewable after voting.

I only care to the extent that it shames Trump's voters and legislative enablers, which can probably only happen if Trump fires Mueller and forces Congress to censure him (no one's getting impeached).

Vegas odds have trump getting impeached more likely during his tenure than staying in office 4 yrs. You could make a lot of money with that outlook bro

Who believes Americans are stupid enough to be influenced by Russians when voting?

If someone wasted their part of their precious little time we are given reading those hacked emails, they probably weren't voting for Hilary anyway.

Edit: my issue with the FBI claim is that the emails affected the outcome of the election

Did the Swift Boat ads sway any voters?

    Did Willie Horton?

    Did LBJ's nuclear bomb ad?

Well, we have President Trump...so millions of people. I'm putting my in-laws in that category. They believed so many of the garbage in their fb feeds and it made it worse when Fox News would take those same blatantly obvious lies and run with it as news.

Yup, we all believe in Putin, who would believe in US intelligence agencies? Only people involved in deep state would do that. MAGA.

Interesting question... posed as if there was no longer any doubt that the Russians did act to influence the election to the benefit of Trump, but taking the different tack that "well, even if they did, why would it matter"?

Not dissimilar to those that say "well, so Trump did collude, but collusion isn't illegal."

Why must this be exclusive to each other? I believe Putin believe he didn't interfere. I believe in the us intelligence assessment. No, from my POV, they both can be held at the same time. Most importantly, we do not want to insult Putin. Really, he needs to be a friend. Looks, when you finally see official report of what really happen, remember how much a friend Putin is. In fact, our intelligence agencies and their should be working together to defeat bad hombres, the muslim and that mean looking dude.

Wow... you completely missed the point. Whether purposely or unintentionally, that's the question. But that said... you pose an interesting question... given how Trump cozies up to Putin and Russia, avoids strengthening sanctions on Russia, and seemingly owes his presidency to Russian interference, do we really know if Trump is Russian or not? Hmm..

Either he did or didn't. How could he have unintentionally. It's not his fault if they liked him

But the emails weren't the extent or even a very big part of the attempt to subvert our democracy.
