Lay Vida underneath, and I'll do 150 without stopping...no sweat. Well, maybe a little sweat. ;)

I need some clarification, are you talking about those fake orange colored ice cream pop-sticks or exercise?

hell, i can do 55 and i'm as weak as can be and overweight. 150 should be possible for someone actually in good shape.

i remember i started one summer at 10 and was up to 46 in like a month and a half and i wasn't even 100% diligent about doing it. damn, maybe i should actually work out once in a while.

What's important to doing lots of push ups?

I can run for about 3 hours with only a 3 minute break. I play sports 3 times a week, 3 hours each time. I'm 5'5 and can almost touch the rim in basketball. I do about 150 sit ups when I get the chance.

But for the life of me, I can't do more than 7 push ups, and I can't do more than 2 pull ups.

If I could even do a real push up I would be extatic. But right now my arthritis only allows me to do girly pushups, which I can do at least 30 or so....

I used to do 30 pushups 4 nights a week with my lacrosse team during practice a few years back.... Gawd am I a weakling....

Congrats to all you guys who are haases.

Depends on how strict they are, if you have to go down all the way, probably 50 maybe up to 75.

However, I rarely do pushups as I lift weights instead.

The big question that I have is how many reps of 225 pounds can you do on the bench press with free weights (no machines here).

I am up to 4 reps - 3 more than Redskins CB, Fred Smoot!:D

I do 6 sets of 10 each workout, but I doubt I could do over 25 at one time without stopping. Push-up`s are beneficial to your workout, they build the triceps and chest, but you must do them very slowly

It's not a measure of overall health, it's just a meaasure of your upper body strength. Your obviously in good cardiovascular health and since you apparently run a lot that probably helps with your vertical. Your just gonna get pushed out of the paint before you can use that vertical due to lack of upper body strength.
