No, but the fact that the refs call the fould 98% of the time is what is annoying. Sometimes when a defender falls for the fake, he lands and barely touches the shooter, yet a foul gets called.
fakes are intended to get the defense out of position. whatever advantage the offense gains by doing so is rightfully theirs, including drawing a foul.
Agreed. The only thing that is bad about this is the refs often make anticipation calls. They call a foul just because the play probably would end up being a foul.

I agree whole heartedly! If you go straight up & get hit, you have been fouled. If you lean or jump into the defender, then it should be an offensive foul. I love the way Kevin Martin plays, sometimes when he draws a foul, he looks like he's wearing Micheal Jackson's leaning shoes.
