I just don't think that public executions are a good idea. Regardless of where you stand on the death penalty, you have to be able to see the inherent barbarism in televising an execution.
i'm thinking about kids, sure most parents would lock it up before their kids would have viewed it, but kids have very curious natures,what if they take it the other way?
I am sure that they would sell it on PPV, using the proceeds to pay on the national debt. Still wrong, but your point is well taken.
I felt that there is a lot of issues to be addressed if such a method is suggested .Personally speaking I think the disadvantages this move provided are more than advantages it brought, there's also a risk of retaliation from related parties to the executed person. What's your opinion on inflicting corporal punishments in these cases?
I am not necessarily opposed to the death penalty so long as there are sufficient safeguards (like DNA testing replicated by multiple labs or multiple eyewitnesses) to ensure against wrongful conviction. That said, I am against making the punishment a public spectacle.
