Those Chinese fans of Yao who started this are obsessed and their only hobby is kiss Yao's ass. They happen to have a lot of spare time at hand and thus have made the biggest noise. Believe me, most Chinese fans are not like them. We just don't bother to argue with them.
He has heart, he really contributes. But as a pg, he has to learn how to play pick and roll, he has to find his star center to pass. HIs entry pass is hooooorrible!
1) well, i doubt we can get star PG like Nash or Kidd. 2) i disagree that a good, traditional PG is needed for us to win. Pistons Billups is far from that. So was Derek Fisher when the Lakers won. On top of that who could we get that would fill this "traditional" role?
I don't care what other people say about SF -- that don't prove anything. I never called Steve selfish; frankly he is not. Sura is not selfish because he continues to play hard with an injury, risking his own health for the team. He could take time off. How the hell is the guy selfish? Liisten, the moron called the guy selfish, therefore the burden of proof is on him to justify the comment. He couldn't, just like you can't.
his statement is a bunch of bull and you know it. This is so stupid. It's like --- One time I was at the mall and I saw Sura park in a Handicap spot. Therefore, he's selfish.
I don't care what anyone say about Bob Sura Because i support him all the way and anyone that is bashing your're just stupid because you must be blind this guy comes in day in day out put his heart into the game mentioning on a bad knee. i mean what more can you ask for.not only that this guy comes in the game hard nosed dosent let anyone push him around talks all the sh** because hes a real warrior
Well, I don't know. I seriously don't know. I don't know if that's true that Sura wasn't going to pass to Darko during garbage time, I don't watch that much Pistions. I don't know how often that happened, if it ever happened. I don't know if I would call someone a kid, or stupid, for something I don't know but he alleges. I don't know playing hard is equivalent to playing unselfish either, although most of the time these two come hand in hand. I don't know why I spend time to type up this reply either. So, don't assume "you know it". I truly don't know.
My point is who care if Sura didn't pass to Darko -- it's ridiculous. What does that prove? And, I just said it was consistent, not "equivalent" But you are correct, you "don't know"
I compeletly agree that Sura played with heart and was a major factor of several wins this season. And his performance can be amazing sometimes, such as last night against Steve. I can also understand he was frustrated sometimes by Yao's soft play. Everyone was frustrated. But I also felt sometimes he intentionally deny Yao the ball. He seemed to have some problem with Yao on the court, for example, tonight many people noticed he refused Yao's hand when he fell down for an offensive rebound. THIS IS A PROBLEM!!! I mean, Sura is a great addition to the Rox this season. He played harder than any other in the team. But he is old and you can safely predict his playing at the current level will not last long. And after all, he will be limited by his talent. No matter how frustrated he was, he had to pass the ball to Yao!!! He can be vocal and urge Yao to play harder sometimes but he should not ignore Yao on the court, regardless how many points he himself can score and how many rebound he's got. It is simple, if Sura is the second best player or high scorer of team, then the Rox is in big big trouble. If he is hurting Yao's development, he is in big big trouble!!!
To be honest with you, I haven't noticed that. You probably is right because I never get into the chat room, nor do I go into the game thread during the game. I just don't want to be distracted when the game is on.
That's why every knowledge fan knows that we cannot win with this group of role players. They are here for the transition period, not for the championship run. I don't want to get into who is the better player among Billups, Fisher, and Sura, because every team has a different situation. The Bulls and the Laker could get away with Fisher & Paxson because of the system they ran, and the players they had. Can you image Fisher or Paxson play Billups role for the Pistons? We have TMac & Yao, we just need someone who can run a set offense system consistently.
all time kookiest post I heard today. besides some of mine of course ; ) You think a gritty hard-nose player like Bob Sura wants his 7'6 big man running across court to help him up? That play he was yelling at the ref and jumped up on his own out of frustration. Sura is tough and gritty dude who probably doesnt apperciate his 7'6 big guy running over to help him up off the court - god love him for that. Yao needs to stop doing that anyways. He spends more energy running across court just to be the first one to help up his teammates more than anyother player in the league. And I'm not exaggarrating either. Watch for it. Now since you saw that and saw what you wanted to see there did you see Yao come to the bench late in the first quarter and sit down next to Sura and see Sura pat his knee and tell him good job? OF COURSE YOU DIDNT SEE THAT. Why would you? that would prove that you are wrong and just paranoid. Bob Sura does not dislike Yao. I promise you. Its in your head. Francis had nothing against Yao. Lue had nothing against him. Ward did not dislike him. Jim Jackson did not dislike him. Barret does not dislike him. Wesley does not dislike him. Watch the replay of the game tonight, if they show the whole game you'll see Sura say good job to Yao and pat his knee like they are one happy family. grow up, we all need to..; )
I think Sura is doing a great job, but the dude is not a point guard in the typical sense. He's more like a combo guard. However, I think he might be necessary on this team that is soft in the rebounding department. I saw Sura grab some rebounds that were going to grabbed by other Knick big men. Considering the Rockets force a lot of jumpshots from the opposing team, Sura's rebounding ability is very important to prevent the opposing team from getting offensive rebounds off those long caroms.
Why cant people just bash Sura about his playing skills instead of who he likes or dislikes. This isn't Romper Room, who the hell cares if he likes or dislikes Yao. This is just plain childish
You are either misunderstood my quesition, avoided my question or you don't have an answer for it. Let me be as clear as possible. If Sura is not the "right" starting point guard for the Rockets tell me who we can get right now that is? I ask this because I hear you and other fans state that he's not the right guy for the Rockets but I say that at $3 million maybe less that he is about as good as we can get. When you have 2 superstars like T-Mac and Yao you pretty much have to get role players and Sura is about a good of a role player as you'll find.
