Then why bother to have Yao in this team? This team is designed to build around T-Mac&Yao, though I might be wrong, and Sura as our PG should pass the damn ball to our All-Star center no matter how bad Yao might perform! If there are less than 3 pass from our PG to the center, I see a problem there. BTW: Will you mind if Sura never passes to T-Mac? Basketball is a team game, which needs to be LEAD by stars!
Yeah I do remember that. But I feel that I'm right here with this one. I just don't think that those who seem to have major issues with Sura in relation to Yao would see what they see and feel what they feel if Sura was Chinese. But I want to point out that I do not think it means you are a scumbucket or anything if you get jealous and angry if Sura takes the spotlight away from Yao or whatever. It is what it is and that just the way it is, you know.... and let me say this too, that whole uproar about how bad the Chinese point guards were - that was justified. The uproar about Sura - it has to come from somewhere other than the regular displeasure you get from witnessing a terrible basketball point guard because Sura has played well enough to be considered the Rockets team MVP. Now that other somewhere where this displeasure comes from - those that have the problem with Sura will just have to come clean on that.
Can't agree with you. Sura is a solid PG/SG from bench, but since he is the best we can get now, we can just deal with it. Besides, we can have role players in 2 and 4, but we need a legit starter in 1 such as Nash or a little worse Arroyo.
Hey, I'd love for us to be deep enough to keep Bob on the bench. But some of you guys seem to forget how much we depend on his rebounding. Especially offensive rebounding.
or maybe not black enough? white enough? there're black/white YOF. i don't think pretending Bob is Chinese works for them. What should they do?
Let's just stop bashing any player of Rockets, ok? I am really tired of it. Hope everyone has good play as long as they are in Rockets' jersey. The game is suppose to bring us fun rather than frustration and even hate. Just enjoy it when we can/win, ok?
I'll ignore Texas Stoke's usual race baiting stuff and just give my opinion on Sura. I think he's a great combo guard off the bench, not one who should be starting. In my eyes, he's a feast or famine player, which is why sometimes he looks atrocious and other times he's breaking out Triple Double stuff. I think he usually is good for a few boneheaded plays every game as well as a few spectacular ones. He plays with heart and hustles from what I can tell, I just don't think he's the answer at PG, and I think everyone can agree with that. I'd like to see the Rox remain committed to the low post game, because from watching them for the last 15 years, it just seems to be a winning formula and one that I am comfortable with. I don't think Sura necessarily feels the same way because of a) old habits b) he's not a natural PG, in the same way Franchise wasn't., They try, but they're just not conditioned for it. Were Sura to be coming off the bench, and we had a real PG, I would ne much more happy. Unfortunately, he really is the best we have right now at the point (no Barrett is not the answer, at least not right now), so we have to just take him for his positives and negatives. I wasn't in chat last night, but if there were people complaining about Sura's Triple Double play, they need to get kicked. Like I said, he's a feast or famine guy, but let the man have his due when he's having a feasting day
On the thought of sura I live in Michigan and a huge Rockets fan, Sura did the same thing when he played for the Pistons. He'd be in during garbage time along with Darko and he wouldn't even pass it to him, when every one else did. All he did was look for his own shot. Gooooo Rockets
how does playing hard conflict with playing selfish? Clear up your own logic first ... SF played hard but the so-called fans still called him selfish.
Sura is making terrible play making in the fourth. This team desperately need a real PG before going to the next level.
