I really don't like this"china-fan". So what, means chinese fans are idiots and you are the only smart one?
You seem to want the Rockets role players to play like the Lakers role players used to. Yao and Mcgrady are not Shaq and Kobe and will probably never be as good as Shaq and Kobe. Therefore, you cannot expect our role players to just throw the ball into Yao or Mcgrady and stand and watch like Derek Fisher and Robert used to do in LA. We need more production from our role players. We need them to be more proactive. We're never going to go anywhere if we try to make this team a 2 man team like the Lakers used to have. Yao and Mcgrady just aren't good enough. We need all 5 players on the court to be offensive threats.
I love Sura very much. He is brave, mean, plays with heart and great energy. If TMac doesn't want be the leader, let Sura lead this team!
This is another case of me be correct and about 1000 of you being wrong. I told you all that sura was the X FACTOR. you can know kneel and beg for forgiveness. and you can also wash my car and polish my shoes! bow down!
The problem is not China fans, YOH fans, or whatever label people place on people. The problem with some people are illogical fans, regardless of race, gender or creed. I don't care if you are Chinese, Indian, Black or White. The fact remains that you fail to bring any credible arguements other than "alot other people feel like I do" or " he's out of position." Those things might be true, but it still doesn't explain your claim that Sura is a selfish player. It's just stupid and feuled by your own prejudice.
Sura has played above and beyond expectations. The guy gets hurt and misses the start of the season. Despite this he's played with more heart and hustle than anyone on the team (2nd place goes to Mutumbo). Factor in the points that he is playing hurt now and he only makes about $3 million a year and we have one of the best values in the league. Regarding him botching up Yao's offense. Anyone who says this is not watching the games. Sura for starters does not shoot much, I would wager that he probably puts up less shots than almost every starting point guard in the NBA. Second, he has absolutely NO reason to freeze out Yao. Again, Sura is not a gunner and he puts up all-around stats and guys like him just look to make the right plays. Even Yao has praised Sura's play this year. What else is there to say? Other than Sura is playing great for us!
In the future, we're still going to need role players like Sura on the team. Role players that are going to take their fair share of shots and not just throw the ball into Yao every time down the court and spot up behind the 3-point line.
9 assists is great. with your logic yao could have easily had 30 points. he should have made the 4 shots he missed and also the 2 free throws.
relax my friend - no one is bashing fans from China - all are welcome. There are some issues people have with Yao only fans who defend him at all costs (including bashing other players) instead of just saying - "Hey, Yao looked bad tonight, glad Sura, Howard and Tmac stepped it up" we, as long time Rocket fans, welcome anyone who supports the TEAM - and most of us remember Dream had some rough seasons here too, so we may only be frustrated with Yao, not hating on him. I think the YOFs who saw him play in China have a lot of insights to offer here - its just a vocal few that bother folks when they jump to Yao's defense, when its not necessary. let me say this - real Rocket fans love Yao !
he puts up the least shots on the starting 5 and he's does not take many bad shots. he's far from selfish.
No s**t, I'm not talking about his home life -- this is a basketball forum. I feel like going into a Herm Edwards rant . . . "Hello, we "write to talk about the game."
