sad should be the operative word in any conversation about tracy this year. everything about him is just sad.
That's one game. If he knew he was only going to have to "give it all" for 18 minutes a night, things might turn out different. This is, of course, if this is mainly a physical thing. Obviously there may be some mental issues...
Kobe has gone way deeper in the playoffs every single year, so that's no surprise. But Kobe is a legacy, we must remember - his father played pro ball, so Kobe has that in his genes - he's a baller. Tmac wanted to play baseball, but grew too much.
Good post. That's exactly what TMac needs to do - develop an inbetween game where he can do the back-to-thebasket post-up attack or fade-away and pivot-footwork around the rim. The thing that separates Jordan and even Kobe from Tmac, though, is their desire to play tenacious man-to-man and help defense. Tmac's mentality is more of 'You might get yours, but you can't stop me from scoring' - a concept that doesn't work any longer. If Tmac could watch some of those later Bulls era '96-'98 tapes of Jordan and Pippen, he might learn something from each of their games.
I believe it is too late for TSlack to learn. He needed to have that drummed into him a decade or more ago.
I'm calling Bogus, the dude played 18 minutes per game his 1st yr, 22 his second, 31 in the 3rd as a non starter in Toronto starting in 97. His minutes didn't shoot up until Orlando in 2000. His major minutes 35+ have occurred between 2000 and 2007. That's 8 years, give me a break.
as long as it's not structural damage on his joints or a catastrophic injury to soft tissue this is stupid. tmac has not suffered career threatening injury tmac's problem is mental not physical. even if it were physical tmac, if tmac were to be traded and released like steve francis he could come back after a season's rest better than ever but again the issue is MENTAL which is much more thorny
I heard an announcer talking about Kobe during one of the Laker games this weekend and saying how Kobe would watch two hours of game film before he plays and when he took his family to Disney Land I believe in Orlando this last summer he would leave them and go practice at the Magics facility for several hours by himself early in the morning. Kobe is the complete opposite of T-Mac between the ears (motivation, heart, drive, direction ect.), but just not as talented as T-Mac.
I kinda understand what you mean man. I have a slight curve and I say 'slight' curve in my spin and if I go hard for an hour or two with contact, I'm done doing anything for a few days because my back is dead and I can't even bend over.
