*shrug* i'm not ready to upgrade yet. when they the tap is empty of things people can/want to do with the 1.5, i'll upgrade.
Benson? Kournikova? Too tired to do them at the moment, I may just start searching for images in the next few days and on the weekend make the new desktops and work on the site. Working 3-11 really screws up your internal clock. . I'm used to being a lazy ass at 5-11 and then staying up all night right now, I sleep til about 11, get ready, leave for work at 2, get there at 3, get home at around 12, get online from about 12-4 (it's almost 5 now though, so yeah..) I'll try to search/edit some pics tomorrow though. If not, definately by the weekend.
Oh, I couldn't keep you guys waiting...even though you're all probably asleep...lucky bastids. Grr...
Thanks man..yeah it was my birthday yesterday. Anyone with a PSP. Since i am new to it and haven't read up to on it and getting all the in's and outs. Why are people sticking to 1.5 and not upgrading if it gives them a lot of new features. Also what's the big deal about the Japanese version?
The WLAN switch is on the lower left hand side of the PSP (you want it on). The SSID is the ID of the wireless access point you are using to access the internet. Once you upgrade to version 2.0, there is a "web browser" that is added to the PSP. You need to scroll over to the "Network" Icon and it should be under it.
The main reason some people don't want to upgrade is for the ability to run emulators. These let you play old NES, SNES, Genesis games... You can only do this on version 1.5 (its the only firmware that has been cracked to do this). Once you upgrade you can't downgrade. If you're interested in emulators go to here There really isn't a big difference between the US and JAP version of the new firmware. The JAP version came out about a month ago and you can't overide it with the US 2.0. There has been quite a lag of good games for the PSP since it came out and some of the upcomming games will make you update to play, its a way Sony is trying to keep security tabs on the system.
I may give in soon and try to upgrade. Maybe once there's another game I want to buy. We'll see. For now though, I'm sticking with 1.5.
Hey Miguel... those backgrounds are awesome. Any way you have them at a resolution so that I can put them as the background for my widescreen laptop??? Thanks!
Haha Nick, you're pushing it I can try, but more than likely the pics may end up grainy since you're probably using something like 1280x768. I can try with some of the Texans ones. Maybe the Rockets ones too. Astros may be the hardest. I wonder how much it would cost to get a subscription with GettyImages to get high res images of sports pics without having the watermark on them. *checks*
Hey... no problem man.... I don't mean to cause you any trouble. I actually thought you had compressed them down from the big size to fit the PSP... but if you made them especially for PSP, that's a whole nother story. They still look great, though.
What is your resolution in widescreen though? I can try it out if I can find some large enough images.
