If you're going to be seen in public playing a handheld game, you might as well play GTA on PSP. I can't take you seriously if you're older than 18 and playing Mario on a DS. Also on the PSP, you can play MP4 movie files like on an ipod but on a bigger and better widescreen. Plus you can play SNES games.
LOLZ cuz killing cops to Flock of Seagulls is sooooooo mature!!1 To be fair, New SMB is more disappointing than Mario Sunshine.
I'm playing a video game. I'm not expecting anyone to take me seriously. Especially from someone geeky enough to know what the differences are between the two systems.... yet still takes an elitist attitude about which one I play.
And for the love of God make sure your collar is popped. Otherwise people may not know how cool you are.
I'm not out that often, and doesn't the PSP have low battery life? I don't care for movies that much to be watching them when I'm going out. If you're bored what do you do? Play a game or watch a movie?
The battery life on my PSP hasn't seemed that bad, I've never actually timed it but it seems to last 6+ hours on a charge. I've only played games on it so I'm not sure how watching movies affects it. I have them both and right now if I had to pick just one I'd go with the PSP since I seem to play it more. But either one would be a good choice.
Here's my plan: DS Lite White New Super Mario Bros. Mega Man ZX Final Fantasy III Mario Hoops 3 on 3 Mario Kart DS Anyone know how much that will add up to? These games will keep my interest forever, I know it. Also, do I need any accessories for my DS?
Nope! DS comes fully equipped right out of the box with an extra stylus and an a/c adapter/charger for the battery! Games run usually about $30 a pop. Be warned though, I'm a huge Mario fanboy and am far from impressed with New Super Mario Bros. No Miyamoto, no Koji Kondo music. It's gotten good reviews, so like with all things, your mileage may vary.
I'm really tempted to buy a DS Lite... revamped design Metroid Prime: Hunters Mario Kart Tetris New Super Mario Bros And that's just for starters.
DS, the PSP just doesn't have many games anymore, I know 2 people that have traded in their PSP already.
I like it. Very old school, great new additions. Getting a lot of 8 and 9s in reviews. Well worth the money.
New SMB. They did a good job with the translation on Mario 64 for DS, but the controls are a little off. Needed a better control scheme. Not unworkable, but hard to get used to if you played Mario 64 at all.
