I got the new exploit(K-Xploit) installed, and it works great! No more swapping, just use one MS and thats it! Actually if you already have swaploid installed, all you had to do is rename all of your emul dir in MS1 with a % at the end of it so it looks like this ex. D:/PSP/Game/Snes%. Than copy all of the renamed emu/folders to MS2 in the game directory, putting the loader in the same folder as the roms basically. Here a simple step by step: 1. Insert MS1 into psp and go to USB mode. 2. Copy the emus/homebrew on MS1 to your pc and then delete them from the psp. 3. Put these in a folder named MS1. 4. Do the same things for MS2, but name the folder MS2. 5. Now drag all the MS1 emus/homebrew to the empty game directory of MS2 and rename them to the correct settings: h:/psp/game/snes% 6. DO the same with the MS2 folder, but don't rename them. If you need any help or wants to DL the actual aps just go to PSPhacker.com Thanks to Killer-X and the Dev-Team for doing the impossible in this short amount of time!
Yeah, I did this as soon as I woke up today. Pretty hilarious that all it took was a % at the end of the folder to get it to work. Currently have PSPersonalize, PSPong, SNES9x, and NesterJ on my PSP. Can't wait for a DivX/XviD player, and a web browser.
The only thing I'm worried about is the fact that some new game will requires you to update to later firmware version. We will have to sacrifice between UMD games or homebrew. Right now, I just can't see me droping all of my 100+ games in my PSP. Your're basically carrying with you a virtue Snes,Genesis and a Nes.
OK, I got up and running earlier today. It was actually easier than I thought (used the pre-made homebrew pack). I only really checked out Doom and the SNES emulator, mostly due to the fact I don't have too much room on my memory stick. Doom ran nicely, and for some strange reason, I thought it looked great. Probably due to the screen. The two SNES games I tried were a little slow, ~20 FPS at 333MHz, but the sound was there and the frameskip helped. Sounds like it will get much better later on. Can't wait. I haven't tried PSPersonalize, mostly since I don't know what to try out. I saw some cool backgrounds, but I'll probably hold off on that until I find the perfect backgrounds. Needless to say, like noize said, thank you Killer-X and the Dev-Team, and I'm sure I'll be thanking countless others soon as well. It really opens up things for the PSP. That's the one thing that worried me too, and like mentioned previously, I hope Sony handles this right. If they keep forcing us to upgrade, ruining all the work that has been done already, then I think a lot of people will just stop buying PSP games and just sticking to emulators and other apps. Considering how vital games sales are to Sony and publishers, this would NOT be good. Plus, like anything else, the only thing Sony could really do with the updates is just delay the homebrew people from getting their work done. I'm sure they'll have enough desire to get past the patches, not to mention an understanding of the PSP's programming thanks to the devkit leaks. Here's to hoping that we can have the best of both worlds: great homebrew programs and great PSP games.
