Yeah, I downloaded 5.1 version off of Microsoft... but it is still doing the same thing. I don't know, I guess if it looks ok on everyone elses browser, then I won't mess with it, I will just fill in the stats and other relevant info. ------------------ Give me ambiguity or give me something else. I'm using 6.1 composer and it all looks really weird when I try editing it. I think I'm going to sit back and wait for a team thread to be finished and I'll just throw in the stats because that nba template is killing me... ------------------

Heath I am having trouble with the roster file. Everytime I try to edit the links it shifts the team lists way right.
Strange - I will try to edit the link to boston cletics on my own version and see what happens. Until now I have not tried to change links, so most of them points to nba.com or PSJ's links. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
I have created staring pages for all atlantic teams and added a link to them from the team select page. Does it work if you transfer them now? If so I can add the links for the other divisions later. Now I'm of to play some hoops. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
I've done some more work on the left menu as can be seen at both the Main Team Page and the Boston Team Page The links are not operative yet but I think that we have everything covered if we find stuff to put behind those links. Anyone see something missing, or have ideas for more to put up. I personally thought of a trade link, but thought that News and trades and stuff could go on the frontpage. (Perhaps I could call that link News instead?) Anyone see something redundant? Perhaps we can remove some links or put two links into one? ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
I'm back now. The pages look absolutely great from the ones I've seen. It's a fantastic idea if you guys are willing to do the work on it, but I will still be posting standings, stats, etc. on the BBS I guess, as I'm practically inept at making webpages. If you guys are willing to do the work and transfer everything, it could be really good. ------------------ President of the Mo Taylor, Jason Collier, and draft Richard Jefferson fan club! Yes we need to keep a lot of the action on the BBS still - and we can't be making these pages without you putting up all the info on the BBS. What we wanted to do was make a CC.net Sim homepage and transfer the info and stats etc. that you put up on the BBS. The Sim league is going professional with its own homepage If we get this going and can keep upwith your tempo on the BBS, the sim homepage would be a nice place to "save" all the info so people don't have to search for them when they disappear from the BBS's first page, or search through big threads for a post. But most likely we will when the first wave of work-spirit is long gone only transfer the most relevant stuff, and tone down the other stuff - but I think it would be cool just to have something. And if we can keep up with updated most of the relevant info about whats happening in the league then more power to all of us. btw dont give me too much credit for the pages I'm doing cuz I'm just spinning of what PSJ gave us to start with. PSJ deserved a lot of credit for coming up with this idea and making the first outcast (with Castor) for the pages. Also credit to Castor for hosting the pages when we get them rolling. If there is still problem for others with the NBA style we might have to drop them? It is easy for me to edit them the way I want as I'm doing them in plain HTML/javascript in a text-editor, but I know having worked with Netscape Composer earlier that having a program wo help out with the editing is not only all good. Its often easier and faster using these programs but they also take away some of your control. I should really learn to do something else than HTML. I really can't do javascript - I just see how its done in the text-editor and try to understand it and make changes where I dare. Plenty of the codes in my pages might be redunatant as I dont know what all the script-lines does - so when I remove some of the plain HTML stuff I'm extra careful with the script as to not destroy it. I might experiment later with removing something and see what it does to the end result. It also could be part of the problem that Composer/FrontPage Express have problem coping with editing the stuff as I'm sure there is some bad coding. I know there is some tags that is not closed and I hope to fix this later when the page is more finished. (I have seen several DIV tags not closed - I will fix these later - some of them I don't even know what they do so I might just try to remove them also and see what happens) ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
Damn typos. I was thinking that if someone had used a HTML validator they could try testing the two pages I work oo to locate errors in the HTML. If we can fix the codes so the pages validate then they should work for all programs shouldn't they? I've heard about this HTML-validator but I have not been there ever, and dont know how it works, or how to test my code there. I might figure it out if I tested it but I have never visited the V3? Validator - but maybe I should do it now as I'm working on stuff that I do not have full control over. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo

It looks great Heath! I will model the Pacific pages after your template, and then email them to you to be placed on the web. Great job! ------------------ Give me ambiguity or give me something else. Sign up for season 2 of the CC.net NBA Sim League! http://bbs.clutchcity.net/ubb/Forum12/HTML/000328.html
Well I will start with the Atlantic division. I hope the other divisions admins can make simular pages, but if there is problems with the nba style we might have to abandon it - or make each division in differnt styles. I could perhaps also make this team-page for all teams, but I cannot do updates for them all anyway - so we have to find a solution. Btw if anyone have any suggestions regarding the layout or other aspects of the boston page please let me know. Some minor adjustment can make a difference. Believe me I did a lot of them myself, but as I made the page I might be blind to what goes where. One thing I thought about was having the news segment at the top, but I don't know. Thoughts? ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
i just wanted to applaud ur work and ask if there was a way we could do it for all 29 teams ------------------ How Sweet It Is! How Sweet It Is! Gene Peterson on the rockets winning the 1995 championship over the Orlando Magic
E-mail them to Castor27. He will put them up on the CC.net NBA sim homepage. The pages I have made is just examples that I also will send to Castor/or he download them. The place that my examples are stored on is not even my site, but as I helps out with that site and have the FTP password I "borrowed" some space to do these examples. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
Nice page heath, by the way you can find Dermarr Johnson's pic at nba.com, thats where I found it when I was messing with your page. ------------------
Is it in the same format that ESPN use? I would hate to get a picture with a different format and force it to be the same format/size as ESPN's. And do you have a link to a lazy bum. btw I will soon post pages for all Atlantic teams. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
On a side not, I really like how their team banners are set up, I thought about borrowing those too, but some have that "official site" stuff on them that I don't know how to get rid of. ------------------
