I am in the process of relocating the pages to a different server. Thanks PSJ for the work. I see a couple of places to clean up(syntax type things) so I will take care of these. I am probably going to rename some of the pages so that it is easier for me to keep up with. I will post the new frontpage link for the new server as soon as I get everything transfered. CK ------------------
Sounds good. I look forward to seeing what we've got later on. Could be a lot of syntax problems because most of it came from NBA.com and then I edited it. But woo hoo, we are on our way. She's your ship from hear on out. Your the man now 'dog'. woof woof! ------------------ humble, but hungry.
Damn this is gonna rock, PSJ. Marvelous frontpage. Got to check the rest. Keep up the good work. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
I tried working a bit with this page that you made PSJ. I have never done anything in javascript before but found simularities to plain HTML and also saw how it was used - so I think I got something going. Was a bit confused so I probably lost a tag or two - but I like the end result. btw only did stuff on the layout. Nothing new behind the links. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo [This message has been edited by Heath2000 (edited May 03, 2001).]
No Problem. Just keep it going. That looks much better and cleaner already! ------------------ humble, but hungry. [This message has been edited by PhiSlammaJamma (edited May 03, 2001).]

Yeah sure - it goes faster with more ppl dont you think? If we cant find anything else for you to do you can share responibility of a division with someone. I have central - We can take 4 teams each there. (Btw for the one with responsibility for the Atlantic division I'm more than willing to make Sixers page.) ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
Once someone has a team page set up, I can set up the others, I've been trying to make my own page and I'm having 0 luck. Once someone makes a division/conference page or a team page, I can work on the midwest. I'm good at copying other people's work. ------------------
Here is the excample of the original template. The Detroit Pistons teampage. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
Thanks, by the way, is anyone else using netscape on here? Everytime I try opening up an nba.com webpage my netscape goes crazy, it's annoying as hell. Anyone know why? ------------------
I've tried that when I used Netscape - and boy did that happen a lot on that page. But now I do all editing in WordPad Then I know I'm the boss. But I could never make anything as fancy as we're doing now - but copying I can also do. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
I hammered out a quick team page( I know it is crude). Something like this would probably be easy to keep up with. Pistons Page Let me know what you think. What should be added etc. CK
After spending all day working on this damn thing, I've finally figured out how to do the webpage thing. Anyway after suffering with that NBA.com playoff page and never getting it to work, I just built this from scratch while looking at the other page. I hope that made sense, anyway, This is what I came up with. What do you guys think? I was really bored so I added extra stuff that isn't necessary, starting 5, etc. Anyway now that I've got the hang of this html stuff, if you guys like how this page is set up I can run off the other team pages pretty easily. All I want now is feedback though. Ah yes, another product of my boredom I'm not planning on making every background blue, I was thinking the team pages colors can be similar to each teams colors. I have both of these pages saved on my comp so if you guys like them I can send them over to Castor w/o that angelfire bs. ------------------ [This message has been edited by Band Geek Mobster (edited May 04, 2001).] [This message has been edited by Band Geek Mobster (edited May 04, 2001).]
I liked it. I would like anything that keeps us moving in the right direction. You came up with good ideas for both the team page and the standings page. I think if everyone contributes like this we could get this up pretty fast. And then when we have some bones it might be easier to change it to a "CC.net NBA sim" common layout later if we want. But if PSJ get the framework of the layout that he started to work with for this page (meaning all could update with keeping it intact) I would love to spin on with that idea too. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo [This message has been edited by Heath2000 (edited May 04, 2001).]
BGM-That team page rocks.I also use netscape and NBA.com never loads right. I am going to steal your standings page and set it up on the host server. Heath I thought I had central and you had Atlantic. It doesn't matter to me I just need to know what div. to work on. I have worked on the main Roster page and hammered out a few syntax problems. I will have it up soon and I will post the link to it and the main page. I will also use BGM's team page as a template so that all the links will be correct. Then all you have to do is download it and redo it.
I'll wait until everybody has set their stuff up and then do the remaining conference, whatever that may be. That way we keep the pages consistent. I don't care what it looks like, just so long as we have something. If people are having trouble with the NBA.com style then we should abandon it for the 'blue page'. We just need a little less blue. Black text on white is much easier to read. ------------------ humble, but hungry.
Ok I have uploaded the main page, rosters, standings and jazz homepage. Use the Jazz page as your template unless you want to create your own. When you are ready to have something published please zip the html file,as well as, any image or other files the page needs and email them to me @ ccsim@ev1.net. That way I can publish them. CK oops forgot to post the link http://users2.ev1.net/~chkemp/ccnet/home.html [This message has been edited by Castor27 (edited May 04, 2001).]
I'd be happy to do the atlantic as I'm playing there myself, but PSJ also have the Atlantic but if we are more than 4 - me and PSJ can share Atlantic while others share the divisions they belong in. I'm currently studying the Team Roster main page to learn JavaScript I think I can work in JAVAscript although I have never done anything but HTML. I have done some programming in C when back in school so I think I can cope with JAVAscript. ------------------ Join the CC.net NBA Sim ------------------------- Rosters & Stats - Stat requests & Stats - Trade Discussions - Official Trades - Draftinfo
