Yeah - sorry but I do not believe that Elon Musk purposely did a Nazi salute. Do I believe that Musk has racist/sexist views? Yeah I do - and I don't really think he is qualified to have input on US policy on any substantive social issues... I didn't think Henry Ford did either. I also believe that Musk has a superiority complex... but no I don't think he is aligned with Nazi's or Neo-Nazi's or covertly did a Nazi salute on purpose. I believe that the issue with Musk has more to do with wealth distribution and his goals concerning society.... not his salute.
Yes - and that makes him a bigot. There are a number of people that dislike Jews or other groups of people and they do not view themselves as Nazi's or support Nazi's. There were a lot of Americans (including the President of the USA) that did not trust Jews and they fought against the Nazi's. I can support the idea that corporations and big businesses are actively exploiting people and be anti - big business, but that doesn't make me a Communist.
That makes him a Nazi because that is the core central premise of Nazism... white persecution complex blaming Jews... That is Nazism. And did you actually watch his salute or just still images? Any video makes it clear he was doing the full Hitler. The chest bump, the high acceleration knife hand into the air... twice. Don't be this naive.
That doesn't make him a Nazi - that makes him bigoted against Jewish people. There are many people (too many) that hold similar beliefs that are not Nazi's. I imagine to you it make seem like a semantical difference - but it is a big one IMO.
I don't know what degree of communication or involvement with Nazi's you believe Musk has. I personally believe that he doesn't view himself as a Nazi and doesn't really have any involvement with them but shares some of the same prejudices and biases with them... as do a number of other people that are not Nazi's. I personally think it would be a more fruitful approach to question him on his actual comments and what his utopia is than to label him a Nazi or discuss his "salutes".... some of the policies that Musk supports can negatively impact many people and it gets lost often times.

This is how I feel, exactly. I think that Musk is a weirdo and has a range of beliefs that I want no part of. Do I Think that he might’ve been hyped up on Adderall and ketamine? Possibly. Do I think he intentionally did the Nazi salute? No.
