I like the run game so far. Very detailed in the sense that I have even more control over the running back. I also like the extra features for defense. Passing is pretty much the same which I liked from Madden 16. Overall a solid game for now. I'll have to play it more though to see where the flaws lie. Will Fuller's hands suck. Dropped too many passes.

You could apply that same silly logic to cars..."even in the 80's, same pedals, same windows, leather inside. Big whoop"
Im sure Microsoft and MLB is begging them to do it (there is no full featured baseball game on the xbox.....RBI doesnt count). EA is probably sticking to MLB because they gave the 3rd party license to 2k 12 years ago....so EA had to stop making MVP baseball. Now, MLB NEEDS EA to make a game. There have been rumors that EA may revive MVP.
Well, the game of football doesn't change much from year to year so I'm not sure what you're expecting. There have been some years where they haven't updated anything except the rosters and I usually skip those years and just play the previous years version. You can usually find some good updated rosters with created players online. This year, supposedly they have emphasized the franchise mode which people have been begging them to do for years now. They modeled it more after NCAA which was awesome. (damn, I miss that game) But again, there are only so many improvements they can make since the NFL itself doesn't really change that much from year to year.
Just bought a flashback pack for the hell of it, pulled an 89 Aaron Rodgers. Totally worth the ten bucks.
New commentary is a massive upgrade. New kicking system sucks though, don't know why they keep changing it every year
2 pages in and not a single douchebag has proclaimed ESPN NFL 2K5 to be superior while criticizing EA for buying up exclusivity rights? but seriously though, ESPN NFL 2K5 is still the best football game ever made and EA sucks for buying exclusivity.
It has taken a long time for Madden to really compare the NFL2K5. This year is a revised blocking game for Madden that finally compares to NFL2K5. The commentary update was long overdue. The ESPN game still has the best halftime show and weekly wrap up of any football game. That exclusivity deal killed innovation and competition. But hey, the NFL cashed in big time, though.
