The way I describe it is this game is reminiscent of the fun times I had playing Super Mario World on the SNES. 2-D platformers are still fun, except this one is very creative and all the levels are great, there is really nothing that is impossible. Add in multiplayer support and a crazy good level creator and you are set. I haven't even delved into the level creator and I'm having a blast just playing other people's levels. My favorite level so far has been the "little big ninja warrior" level

So the Beta is now over (or at least it is for me). I didn't get as much time to play it in the last few days, but I did have a lot of fun with it. Definitely looking forward to the retail release where I'll hopefully have a little more time to check out the "Create" side of things. Regarding the retail release, I believe a few reviews have already been put out for the retail version. Haven't really checked them out yet, but as expected, they seem pretty positive so far. You can buy LBP from CC and receive a $15 gift card. Best deal I've found so far. I'm hoping Fry's will have a deal similar to this because I hate dealing with gc's. I was at TRU yesterday purchasing some Wii point cards (40% off 2 day sale) and my GF saw the preorder slip for LBP. She clutched it in her hands and eyeballed it like a little kid. When she saw me looking at her, she smiled back at me with the I WANT IT look. Kodak moment.
I recently bought a PS3 for my son for Christmas and have been trying to decide what games that are exclusive to Sony would be worth getting to go with it. This is sounding more and more like a definite buy.

I have question, will this be available in a bundle? I want a PS3 now since the library has some great titles and the 360 is sitting collecting dust on my unit.
Wow, don't have time to read it all now, but didn't expect this to get 6 pages of review text. Then again, like Chris Roper (the reviewer) said, there is a lot to the game to talk about. Storm Surge already mentioned this, but AFAIK, they already took down the servers. I think if you started the game before it expired and left it on, you could play it still, but since they took the servers down, can't really do that anymore AFAIK. I might have missed it, but I think Europe is the only place where there will be a LBP bundle for sure. If there is one for the US, it hasn't been announced yet. Europe tends to get a lot of bundles, so I don't know if I'd count on the US getting the same one. Although if Sony was smart, they'd probably bundle in LBP with the PS3 in every region (if not at launch, at least at some point in the near-future).

That's BS, offensive? come on, 99% of the people who play this game wouldn't even recognize it unless they are muslim. I don't know how clear the verses are but I don't expect them to be loud and clear(the user listened carefully as it says) so even if the people were muslim, I bet only 20% of MUSLIMS would even notice it. I can wait though, I'll just have more time to play NBA 2K9 and Midnight Club LA.
WTF!!!!! Im muslim and I could care less what the f*** it says...dammit!! I just bought a PS3 a few days ago, but I didnt buy any games because I had purchased LBP and was solely waiting for that game. What a crock of horsecrap!!!!
