It's a lot like real life. Some people, like myself, just enjoy driving. For example, almost anytime I approach a U-turn under a freeway I'll drop it down a gear before the curve, look for the best line, and then accelerate through and out the other side. I get a kick out of that. Other people just don't.
Me too. And again, GT is a must buy game. Always is. I don't know how it just is. Masterpiece of a game.
i will never buy a racing game like this because i would get bored after like 1 day maybe even after 2 hours. i hate driving as it is here in LA the last thing i want to do is play something that simulates driving even if its at top speed But i can see the appeal of this game to a lot of people. I have a friend who has all the GTs and any accessories possible to go with it. I played GT4 with him and it was fun for a little while for me then I got bored but he continued for another good 2 hours The only racing game I have owned was Burnout Revenge...not even sure if that would qualify as racing though.
I'd like to borrow the wheel and the game for about 3 hours but I can't justify paying for it just because I think it looks cool. I could never get into racing games and I know it'll just sit there after a day. Houston traffic has ruined me for driving.
I do this with automatic. I approach a red light without accelerating (simulating approaching a curve in the game), don't press the brake, then when you're almost at the light, it turns green, and I take off much earlier than most, because I'm not at a full stop. More brake = more gas wasted
I never really liked racing games except when I was really young. I also dislike FPS. I would say it's because it's the same thing over and over, but I like sports games so that can't be it...... Don't know.
I don't really care for racing games either, but definitely something about Gran Turismo. I did really enjoy GT3 I think (might have played some GT4 too, can't remember). I'm quite impressed just by quality of the game, especially from a technical perspective. Definitely a lot of hard work went into the game. Took a long time to develop, including a few delays, but the team definitely cares about putting out a quality product. Game would probably sell millions either way, but they're definitely perfectionists...unlike teams of other best-selling games (*whistle*). Of course, it is easy to take your time when development was already paid for thanks to sales of the "demo."
Watched a few trailers. This will be the first game I will have bought new for my PS3 in over 2 years.
