PS3 game recommendations

    My wife gave me a PS3 for xmas. (We're having xmas early) - she gave me Assassin's Creed but I figure I will grab a couple more games. Any recommendations? I prefer action or shooters.

    Oh, and I have Guitar Hero on the Wii.

    Ratchet and Clank is far and away the best exclusive on the system. It's as good a shooter as it is a platformer.

    COD4 and Unreal Tournament 3 have booming online communities at the moment. Haven't put in Warhawk or Resistance in awhile but the constant map and patch updates probably keep even those games popular. Resistance IMO is the must own PS3 title.

    COD 4 is awesome.... couldn't help you with much else, other than that FIFA 08 is great as well.

    G4 seems to think that Uncharted:Drake's Fortune is really good as well.

    NINJA GAIDEN, best action adventure game I've played on PS3.
    And of course get NBA2k8.
