Not only that but you get to choose one from each category only 1 - The Guardian, Pearl Harbor, Invincible, Chicken Little 2 - Corpse Bride, Blazing Saddles, Phantom of the Opera 3 - Stealth, Resident Evil 2, Underworld: Evolution, Stir of Echoes 4 - Italian Job, Black Rain, Babel, Devil's Rejects 5 - Kiss of the Dragon, Omen 666, The Transporter 2, Species, Hart's War, The Last Waltz I'd take some action movies to showcase the blu-ray: 1. The Guardian 2. Corpse Bride 3. Stealth 4. Italian Job 5. The Transporter 2
Well, if its free...How do you do it? Do you have a link? ^ Edit, I found it...Hell, I bought this a while ago, so it won't work for me...But if anyone wants to give me them, I'd let you...
So... Whats more appealing to you guys? A 499 PS3? Or the 599 80GB PS3 with Motorstorm and maybe some rumble enabled controllers?
Sounds a lot like the Toshiba 5 Free HD-DVDs promotion, although that list at least includes a geniune classic in Casablanca. At least a lot of the aforementioned Blu-ray discs deliver in the video and audio department. Except for Category 5. Most of those reportedly look like ass.
fortunately i never played RE4 on GC, so its all new to me now. Very cool though and the aiming is so much better than original. Plus, for 30 bucks it was a steal. Godfather:blackhand was a pretty cool game. I loved Elebits, simple and fun. i suppose i need to get a used copy of zelda. i havent played one since the second.
Yeah, the HD-DVD list wasn't that good either. Still, it at least had Casablanca, Apollo 13, and Seabiscuit (although Apollo 13 and Seabiscuit were in the same "category").
I'd rather just get the $499 PS3 and buy MotorStorm separate. MotorStorm + 20GB more space doesn't justify the price IMO, especially with the decreased backwards compatibility.
Didn't realize Amazon was doing a special on the PS3: http://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.ht...rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=298102701&pf_rd_i=B0009VXAM0 You get the PS3, the PS3 Blu-ray/DVD remote, and a copy of Memento on Blu-ray for $499. It promotes the deal for 5 free movies as well (so "6 free Blu-ray movies"). I wonder if you can use $100 from the Sony credit card for this as well. I wasn't clear if the $100 credit you got could only be used at the Sony online store, or anywhere. As I said earlier, if you don't like the movie selections, you can probably sell them...or maybe even trade them for something else at some stores (not sure if that works with movies, but I've done it with games).
Circuit City has the PS3 w/ free sixaxis. That's $499 for the ps3, free $50 controller + 5 free movies. Makes me wish I waited I could've spent that extra $150 on 2 games and movies.
yeah thats the bad thing about electronics is when you want something you want something. but a lot of the time you end up regretting it at least in some way because of the drops in price.
