Yes, Clippers are better, but they aint that good. We got exposed at every level. MilkHair got exposed. Harden got exposed. Smith is what he is. Ariza is what he is. Theres nothing we already didnt know. Its just that the Clippers made every of our pain points so more obvious
Getting past the first round is no great accomplishment in the NBA. The fact that the Rockets have only been to the 2nd round twice since 1997 says a lot more about how pathetic this organization has been than how good this Rockets team supposedly is(or was before they were exposed in this series). What is the ultimate goal of this organization? I assume it's to win titles or at least compete for them every year. Ask yourselves honestly. Does anyone(and remember, BE HONEST!) think the Rockets are ever going to be title contenders in their current state? Yeah, me neither.
Clutchfans is an accurate reflection of this team. What can we say? Don't worry, it'll be put out by November. Only to reignite next April...
You think venting and telling everyone to protest the team is the same? If you want to protest the team (2nd seed in the West and in the 2nd round) then stop being a Rockets fan. Thats all Rockets fans want when they see people post stuff like this. I guess Lee Harvey Oswalt was just releasing stress.
I wish I could somehow hold every poster who is saying ridiculous things like "I am protesting this team" accountable next season.
I will protest by not watching game 6 and not checking clutchfans. I am done with this team until they can prove to me that they are worthy of support. Peace.
Two things: 1. The Morey nonsense thing is not NBA basketball - This team needs to play defense and offensively play inside-out. They need to have set plays. 2. Look at the scoring by halves: in 1st half, WITH hacking fouls, we are down by only 6. 2nd half, WITHOUT hacking fouls.... You know what happened Meaning that hacking strategy does work. Of course, the Rockets need to make their free throws too.
That team was beautifully constructed. Add healthy T-Mac, Yao and Mutumbo and we should have won it that year. PG: Brooks - edging stardom in that playoffs SG: Artest - Crazy but all heart, all the time. He would try to take over when ever we got down big then get ejected fighting. Would take that over the "bend over" till it's over strategy this team has done. SF: Battier - The True Glue Guy, plus amazing defender and can hit a three point shot PF: Scola - In his prime and unstoppable 16 feet in C: Yao - Best center in the game even with Howard at near peak Bench: Lowry - Perfect back up with so much fire Wafer - Dude could get hot from the field Barry - What JET should be aka vet that comes into play spot minutes Landry - Mandry! Mutumbo - Best back up in the league That team was all fight and heart with just enough talent to beat anyone. We didn't have the talent other teams like LA or Boston had, but we made it up with Heart. This current team lacks the talent and, more importantly, the heart. Watch Memphis string it together with Conley playing hard with half his face broken then watching this Rockets team give in every 2nd or 3rd quarter disgust me. I hope Memphis beats the Warriors and wins the title.
in the 09 team we had two NBA level point guards that isn't 50 years old we also had 2 NBA level PF's that know their roles and play consistently we also had a coach that had plays on offense
Hacking only worked by wasting Clippers possessions with DJ free throws. They still scored 60 points with almost half of their possessions wasted by hacking DJ. That cannot happen. Defense has to do their job whenever we don't hack in order for it to work, and offense has to score on the other end. Hacking just stalled the eventual blowout that was bound to happen when the hacking was over and done with.
I miss Rick a lot We had the sweetest setup plays. Dude had brought the Rockets an identity. MilkHair is constantly trying to bring a clown show to pep up the team
