You and I think almost exactly alike. I'll take it a step further: I grew up in the Midwest and Indy & San Antonio were my favorite ABA teams.
Next year, many a team is going to disappear in the TEXAS TRIANGLE! Taking a road trip through the State will be a killer.
I really hated the Spurs because in college some idiot Spurs fans thought David Robinson was better than Hakeem. Oh then came the infamous 95 series! But now, I dont really hate them that much. It seems that the Spurs are like a retirement community for ex-Rockets. Rockets or other NBA players who are past their prime. I mean, who the hell wants to live in San Antonio? But how can I truely hate a team that housed: Carl Herrera Robert Horry Vernon Maxwell Kevin Willis Mario Elie
Other than Bruce Bowen, it's hard to hate any of the Spurs. As I understand, people here hate them mainly because of two reasons: 1. Robinson "robbing" Hakeem's MVP 2. Spurs fans I think #1 is not worth the hate because it's not the Spurs' fault that Robinson got the award. (BTW, I always think that the "soft" label on Robinson is not fair. He didn't play soft. He just didn't believe in fighting.) I can't say much about #2 other than "Wait till you meet some Lakers fans."
Die, die, die spurs Don’t utter a single word Die, die, die spurs Just shut your sissy mouth I’ll be seeing you again I’ll be seeing you in hell Don’t cry to me spurs Your future’s in an oblong box, yeah Don’t cry to me spurs Should have seen it a-comin’ on Don’t cry to me spurs I don’t know it was in your power Don’t cry to me spurs Dead-end sissies for dead-end p*****s Don’t cry to me spurs Now your life drains on the floor Don’t cry to me spurs hmmm, i guess i don't like the spurs
i agree completely. plus i never liked duncan cause of the props he got. but he was never disrespectful. and even after the 95 series he took his beating like a man.
